Have you ever started something new, determined to get the best result, only to end up overwhelmed, frustrated, and exhausted?

You strive for perfection. You second-guess yourself. You rush.
Even though you know you need to slow down, something inside says, “Hurry up. Get it done.”

Your nervous system feels activated. A buzzing in the body. Unsettled, but you can’t quite explain why.🥴

Before you know it, you’ve started another task before finishing the first. The pressure builds. You’re watching the clock. Trying to keep up with yourself.

Then you reach for food.
Not because you’re hungry—but because it feels comforting. Safe. Temporary relief.❤️

Now you have unfinished tasks… and emotional eating has entered the picture.🙃

But what’s really driving this?

⏭️An emotion
⏭️An emotion creating urgency
⏭️An emotion keeping your nervous system in fight-or-flight

This was me recently making sourdough bread.😟

My first loaf wasnt perfect, but ok. But the next attempts got worse because I was rushing, forcing, striving for perfection.

Until I paused and reflected.❤️

I realised I wasn’t trusting my inner knowing… or the wisdom I’ve gained through my healing journey.🙃

I had disconnected from presence and right timing.

Instead of trusting the process, I was trying to force the outcome.

And that inability to be still was the clue.✅️

Because when unresolved emotions are in control, they can sabotage your goals, impact your health, and keep you stuck in stress, emotional eating, and exhaustion.😫

What if the lesson isn’t the perfect result?

What if the lesson is to trust yourself?

Trust your inner knowing.
Trust your timing.
Trust your body.

Sometimes healing isn’t about doing more…
It’s about being still long enough to hear what your body has been trying to tell you.✅️

After his first Emotional Release session, Blake shared that his mind shifted into a much calmer space.
The racing thoughts eased, the heavy foggy feeling in his head lifted, and he finally felt clearer, lighter, and more at peace within himself. ✨

Trying something new can feel uncomfortable.
Fear, uncertainty, overthinking, and the inner noise can keep so many people stuck in overwhelm.

Blake didn’t know what to expect from the session… but deep down he knew he needed support. He knew he wanted calmness, clarity, peace, and relief from the constant mental noise.

What’s beautiful about this work is that he didn’t have to say much at all. In a safe and supportive clinic space, I gently guided him through the process, allowing him to simply feel, process, and be himself without pressure or judgment.♥️

Together we explored emotional layers connected to overwhelm, defensiveness, and unhappiness. As old emotions and past situations surfaced and released, he was surprised by the shift in how he felt before and after the session.

Sometimes healing starts with simply being open to trying something different. 🤍

Today I had another wave of tears… not full tears, but enough to know something deeper was asking to be seen.

I felt a pain in the upper area behind my chest, and every time this happens, it’s a sign for me to pause and look within rather than push it away. So I returned to one of the tools I use in my clinic — Emotional Release Technique (ERT).

As I moved through the session, emotions of sadness, overwhelm, grief, fear, and disconnection began to surface from different stages of my life, from my late 40s through to now at 55. The moment I allowed myself to uncover and release them, I felt the pain begin to shift and move away… and I felt lighter, calmer, and happier within myself again.

These past two weeks has brought a lot of change and emotion. Our beloved cat Bailey passed away, and various stresses slowly pulled me backwards emotionally. But one thing I’ve learned is that unprocessed emotions can rule your whole day, keeping you stuck in fear, overwhelm, contemplating every next step, lacking trust, losing confidence, and wanting to stay safe all the time instead of moving forward.

When we release what we’ve been carrying, something beautiful happens…
It’s like the sun begins shining again after a storm.
Like a flower blooming for the very first time.
A rebirth. 🌸☀️

Healing is not about perfection.
It’s about being willing to look within, release what no longer serves you, and gently reconnect back to yourself again. 🤍
