- AHA vs BHA — what’s the difference?-
Both are exfoliating acids, but they work in different ways.
🍋 AHA — water-soluble and works mainly on the skin’s surface. Great for dullness, uneven texture, pigmentation and promoting a smoother, brighter complexion.
🫧 BHA — oil-soluble, allowing it to pe*****te into pores. Particularly helpful for congestion, excess oil, blackheads and acne-prone skin.
Neither is automatically “better” — it’s about choosing the right acid for your skin and using it correctly.
✨ And remember: AHAs can increase sun sensitivity, so daily SPF is essential.
