Why is physical health still being taxed?

When GST launched in 2000, most healthcare was made tax-free. But because Exercise Physiology was an emerging field back then, it was left off the list.

Fast forward to 2026: we are recognised by Medicare, the NDIS, and private health, yet patients are still hit with an extra 10% every single visit.

It’s time for a change. We’re calling on the Federal Government to amend the GST Act and add Exercise Physiology to the list of GST-free health services.
