Healthy blood vessels produce nitric oxide, a molecule that helps your arteries relax and widen, allowing blood to flow more easily.

With high blood pressure, the lining of your blood vessels becomes damaged. This reduces nitric oxide production, increases inflammation, and leaves your arteries stiffer and narrower, forcing your heart to work even harder. This therefore makes mitigation through exercise very important.

Our bones are constantly renewing themselves. As we age, that balance can shift, with bone being broken down faster than it's rebuilt.

While some risk factors like age, genetics, and menopause can't be changed, many others can.

Regular resistance training, weight-bearing exercise, good nutrition, and healthy lifestyle choices all play an important role in maintaining strong, healthy bones.

The earlier you understand your risk, the sooner you can take action to protect your future bone health.
