Hello!? 🤷‍♀️🤔 We have an appointment scheduled!!? Eeek, I’ve worked on patience ; well, my lack thereof - (I realise there’s ALWAYS more opportunity for growth in this space 🫣😬- I’ll own that)… 💥💯

I’m a time freak from waaay back when & my ADHD brain really struggles with this “fashionably late” concept!! 2 minutes late to your appointment can feel like two hours to me 😬😂!! I choose to laugh (& own my bulls**t)…

Also, I choose to tune in (as well as make silly videos of self)… 🧘‍♀️🙏 I realise this is worth more of my FOCUS & ATTENTION, through my personal healing & transformational journey! 🙏🥰 No judgement, just awareness (& a whole lot of grace & self compassion 💫🥰 !? 🤷‍♀️🤔😂

“SH*T GOOGLES” removed! Woohoo! 🎉 💥❤️

We don’t always BOUNCE out of bed… FACT! 🤷‍♀️🤔 & sometimes the overwhelm can be soo loud (despite the guided meditation & slower start) that it can feel somewhat crippling.. 🥲

Keep it real - nobody’s got the “perfect life” & remember that nothing is permanent! 🙏🥰 That overwhelm/ bother/ perhaps sadness or even grief - that s**t will NEVER last forever, it’s transient.. Do what you need to do to GET OUT OF YOUR OWN WAY! 📣🥰

It took a good 45 minute sweat session (ie cardio) for me to get out of my own way! Some days are harder than others, & that’s soo okay! Just do what it takes - you’re totally in the driver’s seat! 💯💪

Just wanted to keep it real & raw (& relatable)! I know that walks, short sprint bursts & heavy weights training is what my body needs (@ this COUGAR PUBERTY stage of life) - today my head (& heart) needed this cardio hit (& loud tunes)! Forever a BODY ATTACK fan, even though my knees no longer do jump lunges 😜🫣😂!

OMGEEEE, this stuff excites me to no end! Supporting women to feel STRONG (AF), empowered & confident in their own skin!!!

Nat has been training for several months now, 2 x 1 hour PT sessions per week 💥💯❤️5:30am starts! 💪💯❤️

Upon showing her these videos (I’m still not allowed to get her face in any footage 🤷‍♀️🤔- I’ll keep pestering..) - Nat said, “Oh wow, look at my muscles! I’m soo proud of US!” - I had to choke back my tears!!

Nat showed her hubby & responded to his surprise with, “I don’t go to the gym for tea & cookies ya know” 😂😂😂!

Nat, you are a force to be reckoned with! I’m soo incredibly honoured to be on this transformational journey with you - not only as your dietitian, coach & PT - but as your friend & biiiigest fan! You rock Girl - thanks for choosing (& trusting in) me! 🙏🥰

instead of something your body actually needs.

Start small or start big, it really doesn’t matter… Just START! 💥💯

It’s not just about the calorie burn - it helps with fat loss in the sense that:

1. It lowers cortisol levels - ie it’s a great STRESS BUSTER (chronically elevated cortisol levels can put your body in “fat storage” mode 😬🫣)

2. Helps to better manage glucose and insulin levels

3. It’s weight bearing, so (provided you’re fuelling adequately - you’re building muscle)

4. Muscle is metabolically active tissue which means - YOU BURN MORE ENERGY, even whilst you’re sleeping!

Soo many reasons! 🙏❤️🥰

Being a dietitian is soo much more than (just) telling people what to eat & what not to eat… In fact, I refrain from doing this almost entirely!

Longterm success (& optimal health outcomes) does not come from quick fix diets - it comes from MINDSET SHIFTS, “AHA moments”, and BEHAVIOURAL & LIFESTYLE changes!! 💥💕🎉

Nutrition support, coaching, challenging the narrative that no longer works for the client/ patient, guidance, emotional support & education - these things go a very long way! Pom poms at the ready; always ready to celebrate every win along the way!! 🥳 💪❤️

Can you carry 75% of your body weight for 60 seconds?

Farmer carries look simple: Pick up heavy things, & walk… 🤷‍♀️🤔

Seriously, they’re actually mega BANG-FOR-YOUR-BUCK & one of the best “real life strength” tests around! 💪💥❤️

Think: Carrying groceries, lifting bags, moving furniture, helping someone up, staying strong and capable as you age.

Why it matters:

* Farmer carries train your grip, shoulders, core, glutes, posture, balance and cardiovascular fitness all at once. Research on loaded carries shows the farmer carry requires full-body muscular activation and trunk control, making it a highly functional strength exercise.

* Grip strength is also strongly linked with long-term health outcomes.

IMPORTANT: Start light, progress slowly! My clients would be soooo sick of hearing me say this BUT:

“Brace your abs, shoulders back & down & chest out. Walk tall & proud & exercise caution when lifting (& putting down) the weights. cougarpuberty
