Support at Home is more than just ongoing in-home aged care, it also offers 3 short-term pathways. This video explains each pathway and how they work alongside existing services.

It’s National Reconciliation Week (27 May to 3 June), a time to reflect, learn and strengthen respectful relationships in our communities and workplaces.

This week commemorates important milestones: the successful 1967 Referendum (27 May) and the High Court Mabo decision (3 June), moments that continue to shape Australia’s reconciliation journey.

At Beresfield Community Care (on Wonnarua and Awabakal Country), our motto is to live your best life with care at home. And the 2026 theme, “All In”, calls on all of us to show up with respect and care in our conversations, our choices, and in how we support people to remain connected to home, community, and culture.

This week is just one part of a wider season of significant days and weeks.

The faces of volunteering. 💛

We’re looking back on our Volunteer Week celebrations and the wonderful people who make our community services what they are. For many of our volunteers, it’s not only about giving back. It’s also about friendship, purpose and staying connected with the community.

This year’s theme was Your Year to Volunteer, so if you’ve been thinking about getting involved, now is a great time to take that first step.

Give us a call or visit our website to find out more:

Thank you for volunteering!

During National Volunteer Week, we were proud to pause and say thank you to our amazing volunteers.

Our morning tea was a lovely chance to come together, enjoy a cuppa, share stories, and have some fun with trivia. It was also a chance to recognise the time, care, and energy our volunteers give so freely.

Whether helping with social activities, driving clients, or supporting our teams, our volunteers help make our services feel personal, friendly, and community-focused.

Thank you to every volunteer. You make a real difference.

This week, we’re supporting National Road Safety Week.

With many of our team on the road each day, safe driving is essential — not just for our staff, but for the clients we transport and support.

It’s a good reminder to slow down, stay focused, and look out for one another every time we drive.

This Mother’s Day, we acknowledge and celebrate the wonderful mothers and mother-like figures across our community.

To our clients, staff, and all those who nurture, guide and support others, you play a vital role in shaping strong and connected communities. Your care, resilience, and quiet dedication do not go unnoticed.

You are, in so many ways, the backbone of the communities we are proud to be part of.

Thank you for everything you do, and we wish you a lovely Mother’s Day 💐

We’re teaming up with Maitland Community Care Services at Tocal Field Days this weekend — volunteering in the Children’s Area again this year.

📅 Fri 1 May – Sun 3 May 2026

Come say hi!

This weekend, MCCS is once again proud to be helping out in the Children’s Space at Tocal Field Days, and we can’t wait to have a hoot with the kids!

👋 While you’re there, come say hello. Our team will also be happy to share information about home care and Support at Home, and point you in the right direction if you have questions.

A big thank you to our friends at Beresfield Community Care and the MCCS staff for giving us their time volunteering to support this fantastic community event. 💙

There are often warning signs of falls — and spotting them early can make all the difference. ⚠️

Unsteadiness.
Feeling unwell.
Using furniture to walk.
Confusion.

If you’re concerned about someone, start a conversation, we're here to help. A simple chat and the right support can help prevent a fall and keep someone living safely at home. 🦺

On ANZAC Day, we pause to honour the service and sacrifice of all who have served. It is a time to reflect on how conflict has shaped their lives, and how we, as a community, can continue to show respect and provide meaningful support.

We are privileged to support veterans, along with the widows and families of those who made the ultimate sacrifice, across our services.

Lest we forget.

Our offices will be closed on Monday, 27 April, for the NSW public holiday.
