💙 The ALSS Difference: Disability Support Workers 💙

At Abundant Life Support Services, we understand that quality support is about more than assisting with daily tasks. It's about building genuine relationships, promoting independence and empowering participants to live the life they choose. That's where our dedicated Disability Support Workers (DSWs) make a real difference.

Our Disability Support Workers provide personalised support that is tailored to each participant's individual needs, goals and preferences. By taking the time to get to know the people they support, our DSWs build trust, encourage confidence and create meaningful connections that help participants feel valued and understood. Whether it's assisting with personal care, daily living activities, community access, appointments, social participation or developing new skills, our team is committed to supporting participants in a way that promotes choice, independence and wellbeing.

At ALSS, we believe every participant deserves support that is person-centred, flexible and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes. Our Disability Support Workers work alongside participants to help them build life skills, strengthen community connections and achieve their goals, while providing reliable and compassionate support every step of the way.

Our DSWs are more than support workers, they are trusted companions, advocates and champions of independence who are dedicated to helping participants live their most abundant life.

Boss: “Let’s attract more participants!”
Us: Say no more… 💃🕺😂

When the Social & Media Coordinator says, “I have an idea for a video…” and the office girls know there’s absolutely no saying no… 🤭😂

We may not be the Barden Bellas, but we definitely understood the assignment 😎🎶

Happy Friday from the ALSS office crew! 💙 We hope this gave you a little laugh to finish off your week 😂

🌳 The ALSS Difference: Participant Liaison Officers 🌳

At Abundant Life Support Services, we understand that exceptional support is about more than just providing services. It's about building trust, creating meaningful connections and making sure every participant feels confident and supported throughout their journey. That's where our dedicated Participant Liaison Officers (PLOs) come in.

A Participant Liaison Officer acts as a consistent point of contact, working closely with participants, families, support workers and Support Coordinators to ensure support arrangements continue to meet individual needs and goals. Through regular communication and ongoing monitoring, our PLOs help identify opportunities, address concerns promptly and make sure participants receive the right support at the right time. Our PLO's help create a seamless and personalised experience that puts participants at the centre of every decision.

At ALSS, we believe everyone deserves support that is responsive, individualised and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes. Our Participant Liaison Officers are just one of the ways we deliver on that commitment every day. 💜💙💚

🎉 Celebrating Our First Birthday in Wagga Wagga! 🎉

Last Wednesday, we had the pleasure of celebrating 1 year of Abundant Life Support Services in Wagga Wagga and what a fantastic morning it was!
We were delighted to open our doors to participants, families, support coordinators, community members and friends who joined us for a cuppa, cupcakes, cookies, and plenty of great conversations. ☕🧁🍪
As we reflect on the past 12 months, we're incredibly grateful for the warm welcome we've received from the Wagga community. It has been a privilege to support so many amazing individuals and build meaningful connections along the way.
A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by to celebrate with us and to the incredible teams whose passion, dedication and commitment make Abundant Life Support Services what it is today. 💜

We're excited about what the future holds and look forward to continuing to grow, support our community, and make a positive difference for many years to come.
Here's to an amazing first year and many more to come! 🥂✨

“You are enough, even on the days you do less…”

We live in a world that celebrates busy.

☑️ Ticking every box.
🙂‍↕️ Always saying “yes”
🏃‍♀️ Feeling like every moment must be productive.

But your worth has never been measured by how much you can fit into a day.

Some days you’ll achieve a lit.
other days, simply getting out of bed or making it through the day is enough.

Neither day makes you more or less valuable.

Be kind on yourself on the quieter days. They aren’t wasted – they’re part of being human 🌿

💬 What's one way you'll show yourself kindness this week?

🤍 If this resonated with you, save it for later or share it with someone who might need to hear it today

😂 THIS OR THAT: DISABILITY OFFICE EDITION 😂

Because apparently working in disability means making some VERY important life decisions… 👀

☕️ Coffee or energy drinks? What’s keeping you functioning today?

🌅 Early morning or late night? Are you up with the sun or still awake at 2am?

📝 Shift notes as you go or ✨future you’s problem✨?

♿️ Push a wheelchair up that “little” hill or load up an electric one? Choose your fighter.

🗃️ Organised desk or 🔥 doom pile 🔥 ? We’re not judging… we’re just asking.

👯 1:1 or 2:1 support? Because sometimes one person is plenty 😂

We asked the team what they’d choose… and honestly, some answers say A LOT. 😂
Now it’s your turn 👇
What’s your pick? And what did we miss?!
