WHAT A NIGHT! ๐Ÿ’œ

What an incredible evening of connection, conversation and real talk at our Real Talk Womenโ€™s Health event in Port Campbell last night!

With 90 community members, staff and guests joining us, it was wonderful to see our community come together to talk openly about womenโ€™s health topics that arenโ€™t always easy to discuss โ€” from endometriosis and pelvic pain to periods, s*x, fertility, PCOS, menopause and everything in between.

A huge thank you to our incredible panel โ€” Dr Sam Newbury, Jean Kittson AM, Jessica Fishburn, Sarah Porter and Casey Tesselaar โ€” for sharing their knowledge, experiences and honest conversations with our community. And thank you to our host, Christie Berry, for bringing the evening together.

A very special thank you to Christie Berry for the incredible planning, organisation and ex*****on behind the event. Your hard work, passion and commitment to making this conversation happen is truly appreciated. ๐Ÿ’œ

Thank you also to all of our TDHS staff who helped behind the scenes and on the night โ€” these events simply wouldn't happen without the people who pitch in and make it all come together.

And a big thank you to the Port Campbell Surf Life Saving Club for welcoming us into your space, and to DJ's for catering our evening.

Most importantly, thank you to everyone who came along, asked questions, shared their experiences, listened and helped create such a welcoming and supportive atmosphere.

It was a reminder of how important it is to create spaces where we can ask questions, have honest conversations and feel comfortable talking about our health.

Thank you for making Real Talk Womenโ€™s Health such a special night. ๐Ÿ’œ

Meet Our Doctors: Dr Warwick Rouse

As we come to the end of our Meet Our Doctors series, weโ€™re pleased to introduce Dr Warwick Rouse.

Dr Warwick arrived in Timboon in 1997 and, clearly enjoying the community and everything the region has to offer, has continued to call Timboon home professionally, working at the clinic four days a week.

Trained in Rural General Practice, Dr Warwick also performed anaesthetics until recently and continues to work one day a week in the Emergency Department at Warrnambool.

He has a special interest in preventative medicine and believes that, while emergency medicine is an important part of healthcare, preventing an emergency in the first place is even better.

Weโ€™re proud to have Dr Warwick as part of our local healthcare team and thank him for his ongoing commitment to the Timboon community.

The feedback from last year said it all.

โ€œIts the social connection with lots of other women (the vibe we create together) that I get the most out of.โ€

We heard you โ€” and we knew we had to bring it back.

We are so excited to welcome you to Real Talk Women's Health this Wednesday, and even more excited to have some incredible panellists returning after the fantastic feedback from last year's event.

Because these nights are about more than health education. Theyโ€™re about honest conversations, trusted information, real experiences, asking the questions you might not know who else to ask โ€” and connecting with other women in our community. No judgement.

This year, we're bringing together another incredible panel to talk about the topics that matter โ€” from endometriosis and pelvic pain to periods, fertility, PCOS, s*xual health and everything in between.

We can't wait to see local women from across our community come together for another fantastic evening.
