SPRING FAIR & ART SHOW: IT IS ON THIS SATURDAY! There are over 15 raffle prizes to be won! And the Monster Raffle is a wheelbarrow full of goodies - be in it to win it! Thank you to all who donated the items, and special thanks to Millers Mitre 10, Narangba for the wheelbarrow.

H5 Bird Flu: What You Need to Know

H5 bird flu is a serious disease that affects birds and has been detected in a small number of wild seabirds in coastal areas of Western Australia, South Australia, New South Wales and Queensland.

The good news is that there have been no detections in native birds or poultry in Queensland, and there is no evidence of large-scale animal deaths. The current risk to people in Australia remains low.

Queensland is actively monitoring the situation, and everyone can help by keeping an eye out for sick or dead wildlife.

If you see sick or dead birds or other wildlife:
✅ Avoid contact with the animal
✅ Record what you observe and the location
✅ Report it immediately to the Emergency Animal Disease Hotline on 1800 675 888 (24 hours a day 7 days a week)
Early reporting helps protect Queensland's wildlife, agriculture, and communities.
