Comfrey Magic has been restocked in all sizes and is on the website ready to roll when you are.

Reminder that the shop will close on Friday afternoon at 12:30pm AEST for a period of 3 weeks while the kids and I move to our new little old house in the country.

WEIGHT VS VOLUME // This order of the day is the perfect representation of weight vs volume when you’re buying your herbs. Each of these packages weigh 50g but the volume varies immensely. I can assure you when kilos of calendula turns up at your house vs kilos of orange peel you definitely notice the difference 🫣

The smell of cinnamon wafting through the house on a cool winter morning and the benches coated in flour from kids helping out is a pretty good way to start the weekend.

I've just added my Easy Homemade Cinnamon Waffles recipe to the website. They're crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and made with simple ingredients.

I used homemade yoghurt in mine, and I can't resist adding cinnamon to everything. Not just because it tastes amazing, but because I'm always looking for ways to bring herbs and spices into everyday life.

These have quickly become a family favourite around here. Better yet, they freeze so well. Great for busy school mornings, straight from the freezer to the toaster!

DIY LAUNDRY POWDER RECIPE // Well, that escalated quickly! 😅

The homemade laundry powder reel I made absolutely took off, reached thousands of people, and brought a whole heap of new followers to My Herbal Apothecary.

Firstly, welcome! I'm so glad you're here.

Secondly, because so many people asked for the recipe, I've now put the full recipe, instructions, ingredient breakdown, and cost comparison on the website.

This simple recipe costs me around $5.50 to make (as at June 2026 Woolworths prices), works out at approximately 29 cents per load, and has been a staple in my home on and off over the years as I've had time or the inclination.

DIY LAUNDRY POWDER // super simple recipe:
- 1/2 cup Epsom Salt
- 1 1/2 cups Bi Carb of Soda
- 1 1/2 cups Washing Soda
- 1/4 cup Sea Salt
- 20-30 drops Essential Oil (I like lemon)

This is my fave, I’ve tried many, and my whites come out super white (don’t forget the washing soda, that’s what makes whites white).
