This week in Workshops we are discussing how pairing a carbohydrate food with protein & fibre helps to steady our blood sugar levels.
Join me in Cook with Me today where and I will show you:
Carbohydrate= bagel
Protein = tofu
Fibre = tomato
Not a fan of tofu? We'll also find some other, great protein toast toppers that can keep you going right through the morning.

It has been sooooo cold here in Southern Qld, so a good corned beef in the slow cooker with some onion sauce, and some baked veggies definitely hit the spot after the VWS.
How do you think this one balances up in terms of pairing carbs with protein and fibre to steady blood sugar? 🤔
Made thrifty with using my favourite corned beef from Aldi that is cheap and flavourful…..I highly recommend if you have this store nearby to check it out.

Yes...a 19P hotdog, but SOOOOO satisfying!
Everything Aldi, so very economical to make a dog with the lot:
hot mustard, sauerkraut, bacon, onion, cheese & German-style knackwurst.
Delicious!
What goes on YOUR hotdog?

75 days to 2027 & I am back down 1kg since Tuesday.
Meal prep for work - snack boxes W veggies, egg & a simple, cream cheese + tomato pesto dip & mushroom, cauliflower soup (🔗 in comments)
Am I the only one who prefers to eat at home?
Yesterday at an outdoor concert, a vendor (understandably in this economic climate) wanted $20 for a hotdog with a bratwurst, onion, sauerkraut and (liquid 🤔) cheese...... I looked at my friend's purchase which did not look ANYTHING like my favourite, 12P version pictured, and was pleased I had filled up on a double serve of egg sandwiches at home. The concert vendor version had about 1tbs of sauerkraut and the aforementioned liquid cheese.....well enough said...what the????
I think I'll put hotdogs on my menu this week to show you what you can enjoy at home for a fraction of the price. 🤑
What do you prefer homemade because the takeaway version doesn't cut the mustard?

Thanks to everyone who joined the first of our new team Sunday Virtual Workshops today.
Coach Elaina and I look forward to supporting you all as we head to the tail end of 2026 and beyond.
😉Takeaways and Food for Thought today:
* Carbohydrates are an important group of nutrients that are part of a balanced way of eating - just as WW promotes!
* Use our WW App tools such as the macro tracking with Carbohydrates, Added Sugar and Fibre tiles to understand how you are incorporating carbs into your meals and how this works for you.
* Our WW Program supports members with our diabetic plan to have complex carbohydrates in line with their health professionals' advice.
Our member Glenda mentioned Chickpea Cookies so I have found a quick, 3 ingredient recipe and popped it in the comments for you if you are interested. Of course you can add in your favourite flavours.....just use the recipe builder to check the Points.
Have a fantastic Sunday and week ahead. 🙌

Yes...we CAN eat out on WW.....
I have been eating at La Pizziaola since we first moved to Toowoomba in 2001.
$25 for bruschetta, pizza & wine.....who wouldn't???
Half of the pizza came home for later (hubby has already eaten it!) so lunch easily fitted into my daily Points budget.
Breakfast this morning was easy avocado on toast W some nutty sprinkles.
Nothing is off the menu with WW!

Thanks to all who joined Cook w Me today as a I turned winter, roast staples of beef & potatoes into a spring time salad using homemade :
1 egg
1 tbs lemon juice / vinegar
1 tsp dijon mustard (or mustard of your choice)
1 pinch salt
1 clove crushed garlic (optional)
1 cup neutral flavoured oil - my preference is avocado or macadamia oil, but you might use canola or sunflower oil.
With egg, lemon, salt, mustard & garlic at the bottom of a tall, jug, pour over 1 cup of neutral oil.
Allow to settle for a moment before placing the blender AT THE BOTTOM OF THE JAR / JUG and blending WITHOUT MOVING UP / DOWN until you see the mayo begin to come together. Once that happens, slowly lift you stick blender and finish it quickly by ensuring all the oil is incorporated and you have a thick, creamy sauce.
Place in jar in refrigerator to best develop flavour and use within a week.
You won’t buy mayo again!
Thanks for getting this beef and roast potato salad w horseradish dressing (check it out in the app) on the plate.
