A LIFE WAS SAVED RIGHT OUTSIDE OUR DOORS A COUPLE OF WEEKS AGO!
We are still processing the incredible event that happened right outside our doors a couple of weeks ago!
Thanks to the quick action of a customer starting CPR and an off duty paramedic who just came from dental surgery, taking over CPR and using the Automated External Defibrillator (AED) installed right outside our doors, a life was saved!
When sudden cardiac arrest strikes, every single second counts. Having immediate access to a defibrillator can literally mean the difference between life and death. This event is living proof of that!
We want to use this moment to raise awareness about how vital these devices are. You don’t need medical training to use one—modern AEDs give clear, step-by-step voice instructions to guide you through the process.
Our mission now is to encourage everyone to:
• Locate: Find out where the nearest AED is to your home, workplace, or school.
• Advocate: Talk to your employers or local community leaders about installing public AEDs.
• Learn: Take a few minutes to familiarize yourself with how they work.
Seconds save lives. We are incredibly grateful for a positive outcome and urge every business and community space to prioritize keeping a defibrillator close by. ❤️
Special mention must go to the Drs and Nurses from GPs on Curzon for your swift attention at the time as well. We know you and the off duty paramedic was doing your job, but the team at Scott Street Pharmacy are in total awe of your skills.
