🚨 ONLY 2 DAYS LEFT TO GET YOUR TICKETS! 🚨

If you’ve been thinking about coming to Better Together – NDIS Community Networking Event, this is your sign.

Because change doesn’t happen when we stay in our own corners.

It happens when we show up.
When we share ideas.
When we listen to each other.
When we stop focusing only on what isn’t working and start talking about what IS possible.

💛 Better Together is about connection, collaboration and bringing some hope back into the NDIS space.

On Friday, 4 September in Toowoomba, we’re bringing together people from across the NDIS and community sector to hear real stories, learn from incredible guest speakers, build new relationships and have conversations that can actually lead somewhere.

We’ll be hearing from people doing things differently across:

✨ Behaviour Support
✨ Employment and capacity building
✨ Mental health and community connection
✨ Plan Management and NDIS education
✨ Innovative programs creating purpose, belonging and opportunity

And most importantly, this is a not-for-profit event created with a bigger purpose — to bring our community together while raising funds to help people facing barriers to obtaining the assessments and evidence they need for NDIS Access.

⏰ TICKET SALES CLOSE THURSDAY, 27 AUGUST!

That means you have ONLY 3 DAYS LEFT to say:

“Yep. I want to be part of this.”

If you work in the NDIS, allied health, advocacy, community services, support provision — or you simply believe that better outcomes happen when good people work together — we would genuinely love to have you in the room.

Three days. One room. A whole lot of passionate people.

Let’s remind ourselves why we came into this sector in the first place.

💛 We really are Better Together.

We’re excited to introduce our latest Better Together guest speaker – Ash Dawson from Nitro Garage – Mental Health Hub! 🏁❤️

Nitro Garage is bringing a genuinely different approach to mental health, community connection and social participation — using a shared passion for cars and motorsport to create opportunities for people to connect, build confidence, develop skills and feel part of something meaningful.

At the heart of Nitro Garage is something pretty special: participants can get hands-on building a full-size Porsche 356 replica from the ground up, while developing practical and transferable skills in areas such as teamwork, planning, problem-solving, independence and emotional resilience.

There are also opportunities to become involved with the Nitro Garage drag racing team, creating another pathway for people to connect through shared interests, purpose and belonging.

But ultimately, it isn’t really about the cars.

It’s about connection. Community. Purpose. Participation. Belonging.

We’re really looking forward to hearing from Ash and learning more about Nitro Garage, particularly as they prepare to launch in Toowoomba.

NDIS Provider Consulting – Practical Support That Makes a Difference

Have you invested thousands of dollars into NDIS consulting packages, policies, procedures, and templates, only to be left wondering how to actually implement them within your business?

Are you concerned that your Schedule of Supports or service agreements may be costing your business money?

Do your staff need guidance on writing quality shift notes, incident reports, and documentation that genuinely reflects the participant’s needs and the supports being delivered?

Do you struggle with report writing and demonstrating participant outcomes, functional impacts, risks, and the evidence required to support funding decisions?

Have you received a Corrective Action Request (CAR) following an audit and feel overwhelmed by what is required to achieve compliance?

Or perhaps you’re considering NDIS registration and want practical, real-world guidance from someone who understands both compliance requirements and day-to-day service delivery.

I provide tailored consulting, mentoring and education to NDIS providers, with a focus on building confident, compliant and evidence-based services.

Services include:

✔ NDIS Registration Preparation and Readiness Support
✔ Audit Preparation and Corrective Action Responses (CARs)
✔ Policies, Procedures and Practical Implementation
✔ Safeguarding and Mandatory Reporting Training
✔ Incident Management Systems and Incident Report Writing
✔ Staff Education on Professional Shift Notes, Progress Notes and Documentation
✔ Gathering Meaningful Evidence to Support Increased NDIS Funding and Support Hours
✔ Report Writing that Demonstrates Functional Impact, Risks, Participant Outcomes and Alignment with NDIS Requirements
✔ Service Agreements, Forms and Documentation Reviews
✔ Schedule of Supports, Pricing and Funding Utilisation Reviews
✔ Compliance, Governance and Quality Systems
✔ Support Coordination and Psychosocial Recovery Coaching Best Practice
✔ Business Process Reviews and Operational Improvements

My approach is practical—not just theory. I don’t simply provide templates; I work alongside providers to ensure they understand how to implement systems, educate their teams, and develop documentation that reflects high-quality service delivery while meeting NDIS requirements.

Whether you’re a new provider, preparing for audit, responding to a Corrective Action Request, wanting to improve your documentation, or looking to build a stronger and more confident workforce, I’m here to help.

📍 Consulting is available Australia-wide through remote (video/phone) sessions, with face-to-face consulting, training and workshops also available by arrangement.

If you’re looking for practical advice from someone with extensive experience across disability services, operations management, specialist support coordination, psychosocial recovery coaching, safeguarding, quality and compliance, I’d love to help your organisation succeed.

📩 Get in touch to discuss a tailored consulting package for your organisation.

Building quality services isn’t just about compliance—it’s about creating better outcomes for participants, empowering staff, and developing systems that work in the real world.

Did you know that complying with NDIS legislation is only ONE part of your legal obligations as an NDIS provider?

Many providers believe that if they follow the NDIS Act and Practice Standards, they are fully compliant — however operating an NDIS business in Queensland often means complying with multiple areas of Commonwealth and State legislation at the same time.

Depending on the supports you provide, your legal obligations may include compliance with:

NDIS & Disability Legislation
• National Disability Insurance Scheme Act 2013
• NDIS Code of Conduct Rules
• NDIS Practice Standards
• Restrictive Practices & Behaviour Support Rules
• NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL)
• Worker Screening requirements
• Reportable Incident requirements

Employment & Workforce Laws
• Fair Work Act
• Superannuation legislation
• Contractor vs employee obligations
• Workplace bullying & psychosocial hazard obligations
• Wage and award compliance
• Workers compensation obligations

Work Health & Safety
• Work Health and Safety Act (Qld)
• Risk management obligations
• Home visit safety
• Vehicle and transport safety
• Manual handling obligations
• Duty of care requirements

Privacy & Information Management
• Privacy Act
• Confidentiality obligations
• Record keeping requirements
• Data breach obligations
• Consent and information sharing requirements

Human Rights & Participant Protections
• Human Rights Act (Qld)
• Anti-Discrimination legislation
• Guardianship & decision-making legislation
• Public Guardian obligations
• Restrictive practice authorisation requirements

Housing & SIL / SDA Obligations
• Residential Tenancies and Rooming Accommodation Act
• RTA compliance requirements
• Housing and rooming agreements
• Bond and rent obligations
• Entry notice requirements
• Repairs and maintenance obligations
• Resident rights and quiet enjoyment

Business & Corporate Obligations
• Corporations Act
• ASIC requirements
• Consumer law obligations
• Service agreement compliance
• Financial governance obligations
• Conflict of interest management

Additional obligations may also apply around:
• Child protection
• Medication administration
• Transporting participants
• Fire safety and emergency planning
• Incident reporting
• Report writing and documentation
• Behaviour support implementation
• Fraud prevention and billing compliance

Being “NDIS compliant” does not automatically mean your organisation is legally compliant.

One of the biggest issues in the sector is providers unintentionally breaching legislation because they were never properly taught how these laws overlap in practice.

Strong governance, accurate documentation, lawful billing, appropriate policies and procedures, participant-centred practice, and understanding your legal obligations are essential in today’s NDIS environment.

The sector is becoming increasingly regulated — and providers who understand compliance beyond the NDIS Act will be far better positioned moving forward.
