We are proud to share the unveiling of our Aboriginal artwork at Simply Pharmacy Toronto. A meaningful project that celebrates culture, community, and connection.
A special and heartfelt thank you to Sam Zoghbi and the entire team at Simply Pharmacy Toronto for generously sponsoring this initiative and proudly hosting this beautiful artwork on the pharmacy building. Their commitment to the community and to recognising the cultural heritage of our local area has made this project possible.
This stunning piece was created in collaboration with talented local artists Les and Maree Simon, alongside Joanne Schumaker from Toronto Tidy Town. It reflects the heart of our community, our local businesses, families, and the Awabakal people, the traditional custodians of the land.
The artwork represents unity, recognition, and trust, and honours the deep cultural significance and ongoing contribution of Aboriginal people within our region.
We were also honoured to have Hon Greg Piper join us on the day. He spoke about the importance of keeping our community united, proud, and well-presented, and acknowledged the Elders: past, present, and emerging.
The event was a wonderful success, bringing people together in a spirit of respect and connection. We sincerely thank everyone who contributed, attended, and supported this special occasion.
