If you take away someone’s rights it can slowly make them more and more desperate for something greater.

And that changes someone’s behaviour. It changes their values, survival takes over, and when one functions in survival mode, friendship isn’t always possible, not with someone at least that could be seen as a threat to your own survival.

That might sound a little dramatic I but I have a great understanding of how our subconscious minds can carry behaviours and beliefs through generations.

We don’t need men to survive anymore, but it was once a lot harder to survive without them.

And in those days where another woman may seem like a threat to securing your own survival through a man, friendship may have been something that couldn’t always be trusted if it was from another woman.

So if you look at your own life are any of those beliefs in the undercurrents of your relationships?

Can you trust woman fully or are you waiting for a dagger in your back?

The conditioning of patriarchy was partially designed to divide and conquer.

Why? Because woman that receive one another are crazy powerful, magic even.

Sometimes we can have a idea in our mind about the way our future is going to look.

Or how we are going to manifest our desires.

The control our minds try to create with a fixated point of view will often only lead us to surprise when things don’t turn out exactly the way we want.

Any journey of achievement is rarely in a straight line.

And sometimes the curve can look like going backward, having to make a choice that one would rather not make.

Yet that choice or experience can be something that brings with it valuable insight that’s vital for the next part of the journey.

So if you’re feeling a little behind on your target and begrudging what life’s thrown at you lower the defence, stop the self judgement and ask yourself what’s the message the Universe is trying to convey through your experiences?

The sooner you allow yourself to integrate that, the faster your life can move forward.

Just like in labor…

What that can look like is being stuck in the same old story, the same old feeling and limitations yet they can feel louder, and more intense.

Not because they have the power to stop you stepping into more but because that’s the death rattle of your old reality.

It’s important to acknowledge it when that is occurring for you, because when you don’t you assume you haven’t made the right choice to change your life and create what you’re desiring, and that locks you back into the past that is trying to be transmuted out of your world.

So don’t resist the waves of intensity that can bring in new life, and don’t resist the release of the old that’s between you and the new future.

Change isn’t always comfortable, but it is inevitable, the less you resist, the easier the journey becomes.

Trust everything is working out for you.

Did you know that autoimmune conditions are a lot more prevalent in women than in men?

I’ve wondered whether this is partly because of the conditioning and behaviours created by the patriarchal structures that we, and the generations before us, have all grown up within.
Those structures have gaslit women in so many different ways.

One of the effects of gaslighting is experiencing reality from a constant state of feeling wrong and as though everything is your fault.

Part of that gaslighting is encouraging women to be self-sacrificing and to put everyone else’s needs above their own, all with a smile on their face. When you don’t go along with that narrative, you can be labelled irrational, hysterical, or difficult.

As a result, women have been conditioned not to express their anger or rage, and may unconsciously come to believe it is wrong to feel those emotions in the first place.

That sense of wrongness can create a cycle of suppression, with rage turning inward because it cannot be expressed.
Over time, you can see how persistent feelings of wrongness, combined with an inability to express anger or rage, might lead the body to begin attacking itself.

So maybe it’s time to look at the conditioning creating the problem which is woman not being free to be themselves, and subconscious beliefs enforcing that reality, and reclaim the space to feel all feels and not suppress it, and more than that actually allow authenticity to rein.

Short answer? She becomes angry.

At first not outwardly, it’s angry in her bones, in her blood, in her womb, and every other part of her and that begins to eat away at her, sometimes manifesting into physical conditions because the outward expression of anger would be unacceptable.

That anger drives her to seek the power she’s not allowed to have in a covert way, by weaponising her care, making the men and other people in her life dependable on her so they cannot function without her. It gives her a sense of control but she despises them for their helplessness because beneath that all she desires freedom.

And as the years go on that anger starts to come out, not always directed at the man she’s sacrificed her dreams for, but at the younger generation of woman who cross her path.

It might be her daughter, her work colleague, or son’s partner because she feels so triggered by their presence simply because they embody the power to choose the things she could not allow herself to.

And so after becoming a victim of the brainwashing and gaslighting of the patriarchy, she becomes the enforcer of the rules by directing all that suppressed rage at the woman who might have the courage in them to not fall into the box of the cult like structure.

I spent my twenties and thirties not understanding the rage that older woman directed at me, but do now.

The cult of Patriarchy demonises woman who have become so angry, they don’t seek to understand how something once so beautiful became so bitter.

Those woman have been some of my greatest teachers, I cannot gift the years or choices back to them that they denied or suppressed to honour a system that devalued them, but I can promise I will not follow their path.

I will not force myself to fit into a system that nullifies everything that I am.
