πΏ "Aren't homeopathy and naturopathy the same thing?"
I get asked this a lot and it's a fair question. They sound similar, they're both natural, and they're often mentioned in the same breath. But they're actually quite different.
Naturopathy is an umbrella term. A naturopath may use nutrition, herbal remedies, lifestyle advice, massage, and counselling, often combining several modalities in one practice.
Homeopathy is a standalone system with its own distinct framework, philosophy, and practice. It doesn't use direct herbal remedies. Instead, it works with a process of refinement called potentisation that distinguishes it from any other known medicinal substance. So, its nature-based medicines delivered in a way that it minimises any side effects.
Both have their place. But if you're looking for a precise, individualised approach particularly for children's health, mental wellbeing, gut health or chronic conditions, homeopathy has a lot to offer.
