Hey everyone, this is going to be a lengthy post, so I apologise in advance, but it needs to be said. I stumbled across this song recently that got me so emotional, I believe everyone should have a listen and start the conversationsā¦ā¦
I am a bit old school, was brought up that big boys donāt cry, played rugby league, where no matter how badly you got hurt, it was a medal of honour to get back up and not stay down, went on to the military where you are taught that showing any sign of emotion is a sign of weakness, basically if you are a man you have to be tough, be the provider for your family and if you donāt provide, then you are a failure in society.
The only issue with this is that what happens to men when this all starts to break down, what and who are they supposed to turn to??? Some men are lucky and have a great woman in their lives, but what about the ones that donāt, who do they turn to, what help can they get? If they seek help, then they are perceived as weak, that they should ātoughen upā FFS!!
This is why the su***de rate is so high in men, guys enough is enough, reach out and start talking about your feelings, its time to break the generational curse!!!!
Have a listen to this song and let me know your thoughts and any men out there, if you need to talk to someone, please do so, if you havenāt got anyone to listen to, then DM me and I would be happy to listen.šš§š¦š§š
PS If you are a woman and have read this far, please never take your man for granted, tell him how much you appreciate everything he does for your family, you will never know how much this means to him!!!
