✨ Big News from Kaspa & Trish ✨

Hey everyone! Kaspa Snoad and Trish Irvine here.
If you know us from our long-time work at Inksplosion Tattoo, we’ve got something huge to share.

We’ve officially been given the reins to open our own tattoo studio, and we are beyond grateful to Lisa Spud Binns (Spud/Mum) for trusting us with this opportunity. Over the past few months, we’ve been working hard behind the scenes to organise, build, and shape our new space — and we’re so close to opening the doors.

Inksplosion Tattoo has been a part of Townsville’s tattoo community since 2007, originally opened by Romper in Heatley along Fulham Rd. In 2010, Lisa (Spud) Binns took ownership and began her dream journey of running a tattoo studio. Art has always been in her blood — from airbrushing to painting, drawing, and eventually tattooing — and over the past 16 years she has guided Inksplosion through many evolutions.

About eight months ago, we all started talking about a fresh start and a new name. With ongoing issues at the Hermit Park location and no plans to renew the lease, it felt like the right time for change. We agreed on a new direction, a new identity, and a new chapter.

Then in February, Lisa told us it was time for her to step back completely — and that she wanted us to take over as partners.

Woah.
What an honour. What a moment.

We’ve worked side by side for over a decade, and we’re incredibly excited to continue offering our passion for tattooing to the people of Townsville — now under our own banner.

So thank you, Spuddy/Mum. We hope to make you proud, and we can’t wait to welcome everyone into our new studio and continue sharing the art of tattooing with every person who walks through our doors.

And for anyone wondering about Gift Vouchers — don’t stress. Everything is being transferred and is fully valid at Sacrificial Skin Tattoo Studio.
