These are the conversations we get to open up during a capacity-building session! Support Coordination is not just service agreements and monitoring budgets; it is setting goals, planning, and thinking outside of the box for meaningful outcomes! All of these link into mainstream and altetnative pathways💥To work in the disability sector with so many flaws don't you think it is more important than ever to start questioning everything we have been led to believe to be true! ⁉️ NDIS is not a solution, it plays a massive role - but what if a more inclusive society could lessen the "burden" of disability cost on the government?!

Personalised individual care CANNOT be computer generated OR reliant on ONE rather narrowly viewed system to support individuals with diverse and unique disability challenges! Systems and industries need to start working together to facilitate meaningful outcomes and measurable change! 🎉 NDIS, health, mental health and ALL small business offering main stream services need to start reading between the lines and seeing the big picture of what is at stake.. Complete collapse of multiple systems who keep pushing back on each other and pointing the finger 👉 who is responsible for what!

Most parents and carers with a loved one on a health and wellness journey know this!! 🌻A disability is often heavily entwined with additional medical needs, lifestyle modifications and social barriers. It often comes at a great personal and financial cost 💥 My question is what about the mist vulnerable people without the advocates amd family?! They oftem fall through the gaps! 💥

I hate to break it to the system but "evidence based" is often 20 years behind the science and buerocratic decion makers lagging another 10years!! 💥 I personally don't have time for the system to catch up - my kids don't have time!! 🕙

You don't have to do what you are told, you get to make up your own rules and prioritise where you spend your efforts and personal funds... the scheme is just a tool to help you do this (by facilitating support) the rest is up to the individual and the family to advocate and prioritise! 💥 Yes, it may be at a personal cost! But what is the cost of not exploring the alternative and if you wait for the system to catch up, it may be too late?!🔥🌻🎉⁉️

If we don't hold the vision as a parents and carers, who on earth will?? 💥 This work is so important and gives me goosebumps when i think about the beautiful life if have envisaged for my daughter!! 🥰 I encourage all the mums and dads out there who are caring for a child or young adult, or anyone to attend and reframe the vision and set them up to succeed!! 🌈☀️✨ This is covered by your child's NDIS plan and it is 100% worth the time investment. It is changing lives for the better!! 🌼

Inclusion is something that I did not embrace or even understand until I had a child with a disability who truly belonged to our family! The importance and complexity of inclusion was like getting hit by a bus! Shocking and it really hurt! How unaware I was! 💔 8 years later and we are still fighting for true inclusion, it is in the little things that people may not even notice but have a big impact! 💥 Invitations to birthday parties, a friendship circle who accept the good with the bad, open consistent communication from peers as your child can not communicate the same. Friends and family that understand the carer burnout and can step up 🥰

Every time we witness inclusion in small acts, it means the world, because you are helping make the world a better place for everyone and make the fight worth it for our little people! 😍

Hi there! We’ve been very busy lately providing a significant amount of pro bono work as a result of recent NDIS plan cuts, which are leaving participants vulnerable and at risk ☔️

We are always committed to making room for pro bono work because it’s part of the principles that guide our profession! We are not robots and we truly care about the people we work with! 🥰 However, there is only so much we can sustain before good people are pushed out of the sector!🤖

Through conversations with industry peers and former support coordinators, a clear picture is emerging!📷 When the NDIS continues to slash participant funds and instead redirect work into contractual models such as the LAC that fail to meet individual needs, it undermines genuine choice and control and puts genuine participants at RISK!💥

Our participants deserve better! Support Coordination as a profession deserves recognition and respect! 💥

If you value the vital role that Support Coordination plays in the NDIS landscape —facilitating truly person-centered planning and ensuring cohesive, effective service delivery—we need your voice!🎡 It’s time that NDIS gave Support Coordinators a seat at the table in shaping the future of participant support.⏰️

Good providers are the backbone. Don't let the NDIS break it.💥

Neuroinflammation refers to the immune response within the brain and central nervous system, and is increasingly recognised as playing a key role in Autism Spectrum Disorder. Emerging research shows neuroinflammation to be linked to behavioural symptoms and speech regression in ASD.
