Healthy eating was never meant to feel all-or-nothing. 🌿

You do not need to be perfect.
You do not need to “start again Monday.”
And you definitely do not need more guilt around food.

Real, sustainable health is built through small habits that fit into real life:
✨ balanced meals
✨ realistic routines
✨ flexibility
✨ consistency
✨ self-compassion

This is your reminder that progress counts — even when it doesn’t look perfect.

If you’re tired of extreme advice and want a more balanced approach to nutrition, this series is for you 🤍

Last night’s Friday fakeaway 🤌🍛

Butter chicken has to be one of the ultimate comfort meals, and this homemade version absolutely hit the spot. Rich, creamy and packed with flavour, it was the perfect way to kick off the weekend.

For a more authentic flavour, I always use Spice Zen | Herbs, Spices, Teas & Oils Butter Chicken Spice Blend. Not only does it bring all those beautiful warming spices together perfectly, but it’s also Coeliac Australia endorsed, which gives me extra confidence when cooking for my family.

To boost the veggies, I added carrots, cauliflower and spinach, making it an easy way to add a little extra goodness without taking away from the flavour.

Served with crispy pappadums and enjoyed from the comfort of home — proof that a fakeaway can be every bit as satisfying as takeaway. ✨

What’s your go-to Friday night fakeaway?

Honestly, there are days when a simple ham and cheese toastie just hits better than anything else 🤌🏼

Golden, crispy, cheesy comfort food — and proof that gluten free bread can still make a seriously good toastie too. Simple lunches like this will always have a place in my rotation.

I can never go past anything strawberry and matcha flavoured 🍓💚

And if you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know .co is my favourite matcha brand. I was on their website restocking my matcha powder when I spotted these Matcha Chocolate Strawberries and immediately added them to my order.

A freeze-dried strawberry coated in a creamy matcha white chocolate layer makes for the perfect little sweet treat with a cup of tea. Safe to say these didn’t last long in my house 😅

Also, how many times can you say Matcha in one post 😆😆

“Gluten friendly.”

Honestly… friendly for who exactly? 🫠

Lately I’ve noticed this wording more and more when I’ve been out trying to find somewhere safe to eat — and as someone with coeliac disease, it’s frustrating.

Because a lot of the time, “gluten friendly” actually means:
❌ shared fryers
❌ shared prep areas
❌ possible cross contamination
❌ no guarantee safe for coeliac disease

There is NOTHING “friendly” about a meal that could make someone sick.

This series isn’t about attacking restaurants — it’s about awareness, clearer communication, and why wording matters more than people realise.

Because for people with coeliac disease:
gluten free isn’t a preference, trend, or wellness choice. It’s a medical necessity.

And vague wording like “gluten friendly” can be genuinely misleading for someone newly diagnosed, a parent trying to keep their child safe, or anyone trying to navigate eating out safely.

Clear honesty will always be more helpful than cute wording 👏

If a venue can’t guarantee safety for coeliac disease, that’s okay — just say that clearly.

Save & share if you’ve ever been frustrated by the term “gluten friendly” 💛

Solo lunch date at while my son was at a birthday party across the road 🤍🍔
Pickles, mustard, a juicy beef patty and crispy sweet potato fries on the side — simple, fresh and exactly what I felt like today.

And honestly… finding a gluten free bun that’s actually good deserves a mention 👏

Happy National Donut Day 🍩

Of course I couldn’t let National Donut Day pass without grabbing a box of gluten free donuts from the tonight.

Soft, fluffy and loaded with sprinkles, these definitely hit the spot. I’m normally a cinnamon all the way kinda gal but these strawberry iced ones looked too good to pass up and they tasted as good as they look. I actually think it’s my first iced donut since my diagnosis 😮

Sometimes food is about nourishment, and sometimes it’s about enjoying a donut while watching the sunset by the water. Balance, right? 💚🍩

These are SO good 🤎🍦
Creamy peanut butter ice cream with mini peanut butter cups through the middle, coated in chocolate… honestly one of the best ice cream finds I’ve had in ages.

I had completely written them off because the tubs contain gluten, so I never even thought to check the sticks. Huge thanks to for pointing out that these ones are actually gluten free 👏 find them at
