I absolutely love this because Kate has put a huge amount of effort in learning how to change her eating habits and it is working for her. Kate’s cravings have changed and the foods she once couldn’t say no to, don’t entice her anymore, and her new way of eating has become normal now.

Kate has decided to increase her gym sessions as well because she is feeling so bloody good!

Keep up the awesome work hun, you’re doing and looking fantastic.

Women should train women.

Men should train men.

That’s my opinion, and after 11 years of working with women, it’s one I’m comfortable standing by.

Not because male trainers aren’t knowledgeable.

But because women’s bodies are different.

Our anatomy is different.
Our hormones are different.
Our life experiences are different.

Men don’t experience pregnancy.
They don’t experience childbirth.
They don’t experience menopause.

They don’t know what it’s like to cross your legs before a sneeze.
To avoid star jumps because your bladder has other plans.
To wonder if the heaviness you’re feeling is your pelvic floor struggling.
To suddenly find your core isn’t doing what it used to.

That’s why we don’t do star jumps at Optibods.

Instead, I teach women how to reconnect with their core, activate the muscles that support the pelvis and spine, build strength safely, and regain confidence in their bodies.

Many women arrive thinking they need to exercise harder.

Often what they actually need is to understand their changing body better.

A male trainer can study all of this.

A woman has the advantage of living it.

That’s why Optibods has always been a women-only space.

Not because men are unwelcome.

Because women deserve a place where they feel understood and supported.

Expressions of interest for the new location 💫

With Optibods moving into a new location in July, I’m now taking expressions of interest for Personal Training clients.

I only work with a limited number of women and every client receives their own personalised program, so available training times will be allocated on a first come, first served basis.

If you’ve been thinking about:

✔ Weight loss
✔ Strength training
✔ Menopause support
✔ Nutrition coaching
✔ Building confidence in the gym
✔ Improving your health and fitness

Now is the time to put your name on the list.

There is no obligation, I’m simply planning my timetable before we move.

Once the timetable is full, some preferred training times may no longer be available.

Hey ladies,
We are heading back to our old stomping ground Aitkenvale/Cranbrook.
I have absolutely loved being in this room we are in, it’s definitely a stunning little place but it’s time to get back to where I was before the cafe fell apart.
It’s been a fun ride but I must do what feels right now.
We will be moving in the first week of July and I will keep you all updated with the address as soon as I get the keys.
