Independent Gym Usage Updates ⬇

We have been working through some recent updates to increase flexibility in accessing our facility

We are excited to announce that from today those with current Gym Memberships or Virtual Pilates Classes will be able to access the gym from 5am - 9pm DAILY!!! 🎉

Less time for excuses more time for gains!

We have updated our Terms and Conditions in the StudioBookings app, this can be seen under the Waiver section.

And please take note when entering the gym, to where the portable duress alarms are located. We encourage those that are using the gym outside of staffed hours to carry a duress alarm with them in the gym.

As always please respect our space and others using it. Our gym is a safe space for everyone to be able to complete physical activity and exercise, and we want it to stay that way.

ESSA CEO and Accredited Exercise Physiologist Katie Lyndon has been featured on page 3 of The Adelaide Advertiser, highlighting concerns that the rapid rise in GLP-1 weight loss medications is leaving some patients muscle-depleted and at risk of premature frailty.

ESSA is calling on governments to mandate referrals to Accredited Exercise Physiologists (AEPs) at the point of prescription, ensuring patients receive appropriate support to protect muscle health.

Today at the Activate Conference in Adelaide, ESSA is hosting a session: Exercise and weight loss in a world of lifestyle, stigma and pharmacology.

Presented by Dr Fiona Willer, AdvAPD, PhD, Dr Adelaide Boylan, Winthrop Professor Daniel Green and AEP Sara Slayman. Attendees will hear how, without appropriate intervention, these medications can accelerate muscle loss equivalent to up to 20 years of age-related decline in just 12 months.

Closed Monday 27th for Anzac Day!!

Both Jodie and Marnie are away for a work conference next week from the 29th of April - 1st of May.

Over the next 4wks, staff availability will vary and classes and bookings may be subject to change.

MASSIVE SHOUT OUT TO THESE LEGENDARY LADIES!

Recently Jodie, Trish & Tamara all competed in the Brisbane Hyrox event.

It was both Trish & Tamara’s first time competing in the women’s doubles event and Jodie’s first solo run.

They all absolutely killed it and have already secured their spots for Sydney in July.

A huge achievement for these incredible women!!
