A little Skinsense expansion update ✨

Very soon, this won’t be our only laser room…

We’re so excited to be expanding Skinsense to include a second dedicated laser room, which means our SP Dynamis and SP Dynamis Max will each have a space of their own and we’ll be able to have two laser treatments happening at the same time.

Until now, our two medical grade laser systems have shared the one room, with our team using them depending on the client, their skin and what we’re treating.

Having two laser rooms means more availability, more flexibility with bookings and ultimately more of our clients being able to experience the laser treatments we get so excited about.

I’m really proud to have reached a point where Skinsense not only has two medical grade laser systems, but we now have the opportunity to give them both their own dedicated space. It’s a pretty special milestone for us and something I’m really excited about.

Stay tuned as we transform our newest space into laser room number two. We can’t wait to show you what we have planned 🤍

Not all tattoo removal treatments are the same 👀

At Skinsense, we use two medical grade laser technologies within the one tattoo removal treatment, and there’s a very good reason why.

First, we use our Fotona SP Dynamis to create tiny micro-channels in the skin.

Then comes our Q-switch laser, which is responsible for targeting and breaking down the tattoo pigment so your body can gradually clear it.

So, why the extra step?

When the Q-switch targets tattoo pigment, it creates a rapid reaction within the skin. By creating those micro-channels first, we provide an escape pathway for the gas and pressure produced during treatment, rather than allowing it to build up beneath the skin.

After months of planning and anticipation, getting to experience all of this together was something really special. From the Payot Gala to the Elly Lukas Luncheon. The Beauty Expo to the ABIA Awards, and everything in between, learning, celebrating, being inspired and getting to know each other even better than we did before the trip.

It’s a little line we’ve used for years, but it probably sums up Skinsense better than anything else could.

Because skin really is our thing.

Years ago, Skinsense was a traditional beauty salon offering a little bit of everything. But as we grew, so did our love for skin, our knowledge, our training and the kind of clinic we wanted to become.

So we made the decision to specialise.

To put our time, energy and education into one thing and become really bloody good at it.

Today, we’re proudly a skin focused clinic. We treat different skins, different concerns and different goals every single day, and we’re constantly learning, investing and evolving because there is always more to know about skin.

We don’t believe there’s one treatment, one product or one approach for everyone.

We believe in understanding the skin in front of us.

And I think that’s why this little sentence has stuck around for so long.
