Changes to STA from July 2026

Short-term accommodation (STA) is an NDIS support that gives participants time apart from their usual care arrangements. We’ve made some changes to help participants only claim for the supports they actually receive.

From today, we’ve replaced the previous fixed daily rate with separate line items for the costs of:

👉 participant accommodation

👉 support worker accommodation

👉 support hours from a support worker.

Participants who use STA supports should talk to their providers about what this change means for them and any future bookings they may have.

We are committed to providing a wide range of in-home care services for NDIS participants that are designed to promote health, wellbeing and independent living. This support can take the form of assistance with daily living activities, such as meal preparation, cleaning and gardening, as well other healthcare services.

In this way, participants are better able to remain living in their own home (or in shared NDIS accommodation), while at the same time maintaining connections and engagement with the local community. In addition, our caring and compassionate support workers also work with clients with different needs through providing daily personal activities support.

We work in partnership with family members, GPs and allied health providers to deliver personalised care based on each individual’s needs and the level and frequency of support they require.
