Do you have a body? Then guess what, you have a pelvic floor!
Your pelvic floor probably isn’t something you’ve thought much about. Until it’s not doing what you need and then it’s all you can think about.
Your pelvic floor is a group of muscles that sit at the base of your pelvis and support your bladder, bowel, sexual function, core stability and breathing mechanics.
You probably have heard of the common signs that your pelvic floor may need attention such as leaking, urgency, constipation, heaviness etc.
But did you know persistent lower back pain, deep pelvic pain, poor hip mobility and pain with insertion are often linked with the pelvic floor being too tight?
The pelvic floor can be weak, tight OR a mix of both. More ’squeezes’ isn’t always the answer.

If symptoms are stopping you from training, running, lifting, or living confidently — it’s worth a conversation to your local EP. Medicare rebates may be applicable.
