Woke up exhausted? 🥱
That heavy, depleted, “I slept but somehow I’m still tired” feeling is one of the presentations that makes me think of KD3 — Tàixī / 太溪.
🌿 In Chinese medicine, KD3 is the Yuan-Source point of the Kidney channel and is traditionally used to support Kidney Qi and Kidney Yin.
The Kidney system in Chinese medicine is closely associated with our deeper reserves - endurance, recovery, ageing, reproduction and the ability to keep going when life has asked a lot of us.
So when someone tells me they feel:
✨ exhausted
✨ depleted
✨ run down
✨ burnt out
✨ like their batteries just aren’t recharging
KD3 is one of the points I often think about as part of the bigger picture.
And the bigger picture matters.
One acupressure point isn’t going to fix chronic exhaustion if your body is asking for more sleep, better nutrition, less stress, or proper investigation for things like iron deficiency or thyroid issues.
But it can be a simple tool to add when you’re feeling flat and need a moment to reconnect with your body.
📍 How to find it:
On the inside of the ankle, in the hollow between the highest point of your ankle bone and your Achilles tendon.
✨ Apply firm, comfortable pressure for 30–60 seconds on each side.
Press the point.
Slow the breath.
Give yourself a minute.
⚠️ Persistent or unexplained fatigue deserves proper medical assessment, especially if it’s new, severe or affecting your ability to function day to day.
