We are super excited to invite you to our next Webinar which takes a long overdue deep dive to the very core of our work as Manual Therapists & Movement therapists – Palpation.
“Why Palpation Hasn’t Failed - The Missing Science Behind Skilled Hands, Clinical Reliability & Hands-On Data Acquisition & Analysis” a presentation by UK based Dr Jo Abbott.

Here’s what the fantastic Canadian based therapist & educator Mark Finch says “If you are a hands-on therapist, Dr Abbott's work is essential. She offers both an in depth look at the literature on palpation reliability & practical strategies to make your hands more reliable in clinical practice. Her work challenges the narrative that our hands can't be trusted, & challenges us to practise in a way that makes them more reliable. Highly recommended for anyone who uses hands-on assessment as part of their clinical reasoning process. The principles from her work should be a foundational skill for every hands-on therapist”
When: 23rd June 2026 via ZOOM 6.30PM (Melbourne) You also have full access to the recordings for 6 months

AUD $44

What a fantastic presentation from the amazing Sue Mayes we experienced on Monday. Sue has that wonderful ability to weave relevant current research with her extensive clinical knowledge & skill and the myth busting findings from her own PhD research. Sue beautifully demonstrated the nuances required in understanding the continuum of Hypermobility and how this translates to individual patient management.

Please Don't Miss this wonderful Presentation - we are live this Monday night 31st March.
When you register you have full access to the recording for 2 months.
Our next webinar "Preventing & Managing Injury in Hypermobile Athletes" with the fantastic Dr Sue Mayes.
Sue was the Principal Physiotherapist of The Australian Ballet from 1997 to 2025. She is now a senior lecturer in physiotherapy at La Trobe University, Melbourne.
This presentation will highlight the screening tests for generalised joint hypermobility, discuss the injury risk of hypermobility, offer ideas on prevention & considerations when we are applying our treatments.
Not all people with hypermobility are prone to injury, but soft-tissue laxity needs to be considered when preventing & treating injuries.
Without careful screening of our patients, soft-tissue treatments & joint mobilising may do more harm than good.

Sue will discuss potential barriers that prevent patient buy-in to exercise programs & current evidence that supports high intensity training to support joint health.
Sue is an internationally renowned Physiotherapist & specialist in managing hip, ankle & foot injuries, especially in elite ballet dancers & athletes.

Thankyou, Thankyou, Thankyou Joanne Elphinston for another extraordinary webinar presentation on Wednesday night "Re-Connecting Missing Links" In my humble opinion every therapist needs to be exposed to the JEMS approach BEFORE they get tangled up in learning "exercises".
What Joanne’s work invites us to explore is how movement emerges when relationships are restored. Relationships between intention, timing, coordination, load & context.
The JEMS approach is less about forcing change & more about allowing movement to happen — movement that is efficient, adaptable & often effortless. Movement with grace, flow & meaning.
The link is still active if you want access to the recording of Joanne's wonderful presentation
