Learning Spaces to Support Sensory Regulation

This training aims to support your educators to provide an aesthetically pleasing, functional and sensory supportive learning environment for all children at your service. The workshop supports educators to develop their understanding of sensory processing disorder and common sensory triggers that exist in our day-to-day environment.

What is included:
• A minimum two-hour onsite consult at your Early Childhood Service. Onsite consult time can be varied depending on number of children and rooms.
• Development and provision of a comprehensive report regarding observations and strategies to implement.
• A one-month review to assess progress and provide additional support including a two hour workshop.

Visual supports aid with communicating with ALL children at your service! Visual supports enable effective communication between educators and children.

How do you use visual supports?
- visual schedules: outlining the days planned activities and meal times
- social stories: outline how social interactions with peers/adults may occur
- visuals: pictures of favoured areas, activities and food to allow children to communicate their needs and wants.
