This has come up in so many client sessions lately…
We don’t just struggle to feel calm, happiness (and the other emotions we all want) … we struggle to HOLD them.
Because even when those feelings do show up, they feel so unfamiliar, that fear comes with them.
Because to the body, unfamiliar = unsafe.
So this fear arrives:
Fear it won’t last.
Fear it’ll be taken away.
Fear something will go wrong while you’re enjoying it.
The body tenses. The mind starts scanning. And the feeling disappears.
It’s not conscious sabotage…
but that’s what ends up happening.
That’s why these feelings can feel so fleeting.
That’s what I’m working with clients on now, to expand their capacity so instead of being pulled out of these feelings they want… they can stay there longer.
With tapping, we’re working directly with the nervous system so it starts to feel safe with these higher vibrations.
So they can feel peace, calm, joy and happiness more often, and for longer.
