🏍️ Event Medical Coverage – Griffith Motorcycle Sports Club 🏍️

Today, the team from Wagga Wagga First Aid Training was proud to provide event medical services at Griffith Motorcycle Sports Club, helping ensure the safety and wellbeing of riders, officials, volunteers, and spectators throughout the day.

A huge thank you to our dedicated medic Izzy and APC Student Isabelle, for their professionalism, commitment, and outstanding care on the ground. Your willingness to support community sporting events and provide high-quality first aid and medical assistance is greatly appreciated.

Motorcycle sport is an exciting and challenging environment, and having experienced medical personnel on-site helps ensure participants can compete with confidence.

Thank you to Griffith Motorcycle Sports Club for entrusting us with your event medical coverage. We look forward to supporting future events.

Today on the floor of my new shop I had to give CPR for 10 minutes to a gentleman who collapsed and was not breathing...it was 5 minutes after I arrived today. We also delivered 2 rounds from a defibrillator, and I recommenced CPR until the paramedics arrived.

The paramedics worked on him for 20 minutes and he was transported to hospital. The paramedic said whoever did CPR it was perfect good job. My sister transported his partner to the hospital and stayed with the lady for 2 hours. A respiratory nurse came out and updated them - he survived! And the nurse told them he would have 100% died without immediate and accurate CPR. I was doing CPR within a minute or two of him being on the ground.

So I'm a bit tired in shock, thank you to the concerned people who stopped at all the police and ambos, the lady from Myer and gentleman with the defib who assisted me - legends. As soon as I saw paramedic Mark who I have known for years I instantly felt relief. Thank you guys you are just amazing.

The reason for this post - if you have been meaning to do it: get trained now - learn CPR you never know when you will need to save someone's life.

And I'll be buying defibrillators for both of my shops immediately. If you own a business - consider it now. I'll post a link tomorrow.

We have lost half a day in the shop, obviously that doesn't matter. If we aren't as organised as we thought we would be - my brain isn't processing properly right now, and it will be what it will be x

Today, on First Responder Day, we pause to recognise the extraordinary men and women who dedicate themselves to protecting and serving our communities.

Whether you are a Paramedic, Nurse, Police Officer, Firefighter, SES Volunteer, First Aider, Defence Member, Lifeguard, Rescue Operator or Community Volunteer, your commitment to helping others often comes at great personal sacrifice.

First Responders are there on our best days and our worst days. They provide comfort in times of uncertainty, leadership during emergencies, and hope when people need it most.

At Wagga Wagga First Aid Training, we are proud to train and work alongside many of these remarkable individuals. We thank you for your professionalism, resilience, compassion and unwavering dedication to serving others.

Please join us in thanking all First Responders across Australia for the incredible work they do every day.

💙 Thank you for your service.
💙 Thank you for your sacrifice.
💙 Thank you for making a difference.

❤️ Giving Back to the Community We Call Home ❤️

At Wagga Wagga First Aid Training, we believe that success isn’t measured solely by business growth—it’s measured by the positive impact we make in our community.

As a locally owned, family-operated, veteran-owned and Supply Nation registered business, we are proud to support the people and organisations that make the Riverina such a great place to live.

Over the years, we have contributed to our community through:

✅ Free CPR and first aid awareness sessions
✅ Sponsorship of local sporting clubs and community events
✅ Supporting volunteers, emergency services and not-for-profit organisations
✅ Providing discounted and donated training opportunities
✅ Event medical services at community events and fundraisers
✅ Supporting multicultural, Aboriginal and community organisations
✅ Advocacy for improved access to healthcare and emergency preparedness across regional communities

In 2026 alone, our team has trained more than 1,000 people in lifesaving skills. Every person trained has the potential to save a life, support a family member, assist a colleague, or help a stranger in need.

We are incredibly grateful to our trainers, medics, nurses, volunteers, clients and community partners who make this possible.

Thank you, Wagga Wagga and the wider Riverina, for supporting local business and allowing us to continue our mission of building safer, stronger and more resilient communities.

Together, we’re not just teaching first aid—we’re creating everyday lifesavers.
