Friday morning Mindful Mat classes are a very committed group. Almost always full/waitlisted and for good reason. The Pilates is great; the relaxation at the end is a perfect way to start a busy Friday; but most importantly the people attending are 👌🏻.

It's never one 'thing' that makes us tired. Nor is it one magical remedy that helps us regain energy and vitality.

In the absence of finding something to help shift the mind, body and soul into a more cohesive 'being' we accumulate many small (but costly) things to keep us going.

☕️The coffee that gets us through the morning.
💊The supplements we hope will fix the fatigue.
💆‍♀️The skincare that helps us look less exhausted than we feel.
🍔The takeaways because there’s nothing left in the tank.
🙋‍♀️The massages that keep our shoulders from locking up completely.

None of it is wrong.
None of it is wasted.
It’s all just coping.

Perhaps we don't even realise how much we are spending just to feel 'okay'. Not thriving, not restored...... just functioning?

We created our reset and restore retreat after seeing this pattern over and over again in our studio and in our social circles. Doing everything 'right' but still feeling like you are running on empty.

Because there's rarely space built into life to actually come back to ourselves. We've forgotten how to 'be me'.

You need a space to rest, move, breathe, and reset what constant output does to the nervous system. Allowing you to come back to a new 'home' in your body. One whose resting state is not hypervigilance, stress and fear.

Our retreat provides tools, allowing you to recognise the disconnect between body and mind, giving you skills that transfer to daily life and finding a more harmonious way to function when the chaos of life inevitably finds you again.

If this resonates, you’ll know. And if it doesn’t yet, it probably will one day.

We have made our retreat as affordable as possible whilst providing an amazing experience.

Back in 2020, when Dave first started working from home under Propel Remedial Massage, before Propel Body was what it is today, Carlie was his very first client.

Fast forward 6 years and she’s somehow still coming back…. 😏

As small business owners, you never forget the people who backed you at the start. The ones who trusted you before the fit-outs, before the growth, before anyone else knew your name.

Whether you’ve been with us since day one, supported us through the transition into the studio we are now, or you’ve only just walked through the doors recently - we genuinely appreciate every single person who chooses to spend their time with us.

Real care isn’t just remembering appointments. It’s remembering people. Their families. The holiday they’ve just been on. The little details. The conversations. The injuries. The wins. The hard weeks. The things that matter to you.

So to our OG clients like Carlie, our newer clients, and everyone in between - thank you for being part of this place.

Picture this…..

Sleep in until 7.30am, slowly crawl out of bed put on some comfy clothes and head to our Kooringal Mall studio. 45 minutes of gentle but very effective mat Pilates finished with a mindfullness/relaxation session. Leave with a nice warm cup of tea and come home to a cooked breakfast and a tidy house.

Is that not the perfect Mother’s Day morning?

Now, let’s be honest….. we can’t promise the breakfast or the clean house but we can at least give them the time and space to try 😉

How many of you are currently dealing with a ni**le, tightness or ache that just keeps coming back? 🙋‍♀️

We see it ALL the time.
Hello👋 we’re Dave and Alisha, and if you’ve been around a while, you’ve probably seen us, but it’s been a while since we properly introduced ourselves.

Between us, we’ve spent years working in massage and Pilates, and we kept noticing the same pattern…

You get tight → you get a massage → you feel better → life gets busy → the pain comes back 😩

Sound familiar?

Dave is ridiculously good at what he does. He can release tight muscles and get you moving again, but the truth is… if nothing changes, the result is short lived.

That’s where we do things a little differently.

Once your body has that tension released, we don’t just leave it there and rebook you for 2 weeks to rinse/repeat, we rebuild it.

This time stronger. More mobile. More supported.

That’s where Alisha brings the Pilates in.

She’s the one who remembers everything.

The school forms. The appointments. Who likes what for dinner. The presents for parties. When the pants have become a little too short. When someone just needs a little extra after a big day/week/term.

She’s the glue.

And most of the time, she makes it look effortless.

But here’s the part you might not see…

Being the glue has an impact.

👉🏻It shows up in the tight shoulders she shrugs off.

👉🏻The exhaustion she pushes through.

👉🏻The mental load she carries quietly.

👉🏻The moments where she feels like she’s running on empty but keeps going anyway, because the family relies on HER.

👉🏻She feels tired….and calm, tired…. and patient, tired….. and present, while pushing all her feelings down. Because someone in her family needs her to calm THEM down.

She’s not asking for much.
In fact, she probably wouldn’t ask at all or doesn’t know what she actually needs.

🥳 A busy week, with two 100s to celebrate 🙌🏼

Liz joined the 100 club this week - and we’re lucky to have such a wonderful person in our Propel community.

Why did you start Pilates?
“I wanted to challenge myself, improve strength, flexibility and balance after dealing with multiple stress fractures. With a complex medical history, I really just wanted to feel better, prevent further injuries, and improve my overall health.”

How has it helped you?
“It’s improved my core and flexibility, but most importantly it’s taught me how to breathe properly and de-stress. It’s been huge for my mental wellbeing. It’s also shown me that with perseverance, you can achieve results - physically and mentally.”

What would you say to someone unsure about starting?
“Give it a go!! Everyone is catered for, no matter your level. Alisha is so welcoming and genuinely cares. She listens, adapts to your needs, and always encourages you. I’m so grateful I started.”

What do you enjoy most about the classes?
“The connection and sense of community. There’s encouragement, laughter, and a really positive environment. Even on tough days, you walk out feeling lighter and happier.”
