What does self-care Sunday look like to you?
For me it means spiritual practice. I made my first ever Witches’ Ladder today and I’ll be utilising it to assist in the healing of my ankle. (I tore a muscle last week playing hockey.)
A Witches’ Ladder is like a rosary for witches. I’ll be using mine for meditation by rubbing it and repeating the sigil/affirmation I have created for it, instead of running it through my fingers in prayer.
Correspondences I’ve used are:
- day of the week: making my ladder on Sunday was to utilise its healing power
- blue: healing
- Red Jasper: healing stone
- Smokey Quartz: relieving pain
- Malachite: overall healing stone
- Lemon Oil: health and healing
- Borage leaves: anti inflammatory
- Wormwood leaves: reduce inflammation and ease joint pain
- Rue leaves: ease pain of soft tissue injuries
- Celtic symbol Triskele: representing cyclic renewal
- Celtic symbol Dara Knot: personal health talisman for resilience and healing
- Pagan symbol Sun Wheel/Solar Cross: health and healing
- Affirmation: I love and appreciate myself. Collected from a Louise Hay archive.
