I began my young adult life by following my passion and dream to be a geneticist. I obtained high grades in my Science Degree and was offered an Honours year position in both Biochemistry and Genetics. I chose genetics, and successfully completed research, which was then published in

an International, Refereed Science Journal. My professor then employed me as a Research Assistant to extract DNA from a few precious drops of blood from rare, deceased marsupials. That too was successful, and those results were also published in a Science Journal. During the next year I decided to pursue a PhD, so I began a Masters Science Degree in human medical research. In 2002 I was a passenger in a motor vehicle accident and sustained a broken neck and back, plus head injuries. The neurosurgeons told me 3 months after the accident "if we don't operate, you will become a quadriplegic, and sooner rather than later". I had 2 operations on my neck over the next 5 months. My head injuries included inner ear damage which caused severe vertigo, and I was unable to work for 6 years. When I was well enough to work part-time, I did a course to become a phlebotomist (pathology collector). I still suffered random bouts of vertigo, and lethargy at that time, so I chose a field that had part-time work, and had some medical background for my interest. I continued to improve in fitness and health, until finally I felt well enough to take on new studies in the field of HYPNOTHERAPY. In 2014 I enrolled in The Academy of Hypnotic Science, and completed firstly Certificate 4 and then the Diploma. This is the most fascinating field! It is so rewarding to help people find their power within themselves to have the life that they want. I am so excited and passionate about helping people to create the change they want, using the wonderful tool of hypnotherapy!
