REPEATING YOUR STORY ...ALL OVER AGAIN & AGAIN...
Have you experienced this?

Have you been able to get help?

This happened to me when our family was in crisis a few years back.

Repeating the story over and over again.

And each time it's replaying the same traumatic story.

And each time there is a price to pay. Namely your time and energy. And quite often the complexity of our lives are not understood.

Therefore any support you get most likely won't actually change your trajectory.

For instance I was denied a support worker to help me because my kids behaviours were deemed
"too high of a risk ".

So instead of providing 2 support workers to 1 child, ( they already had behaviour support plans in place), they didn't supply any!

Unless you've BEEN in that situation and RECOVERED from the situation you're in , they won't know how to help you.

I know how you don't have the time energy or motivation to get even the important things done.

This is where I step in.

I provide practical help, tools and resources that WILL change your trajectory ( as long as you do a teeny bit of work on the mission too, such as booking GP appointment, checking my gov etc)

If you've tried to reach out for help for the parent carer of children with complex needs, then get in touch.

There IS a difference between needing no help and having to frequently verbally prompt your child.

I recently helped one of the group members here to get their carer allowance +/- carer payment done. That's 1 less stress.

So stop repeating your story to everyone and get in touch.

I'm passionate about helping us all get more money, better health and improving family relationships.

SCHOOL CANT - Parent support.

It's really tough if you're trying to get your kid to school ( and to stay in school) plus work to keep an income coming in.

But what if you or your child is burnt out?

Do you have a plan on what needs to happen first?

I've been through it too.

That's where I can help you to prioritize your competing tasks - so you spend your energy on the right things.

If you are a parent on the NDIS I can work with you to help smooth things out. Having been there myself, I have a few ideas up my sleeve that can really help.

Just 1 thing. Before you contact me, you must be OPEN to changing what's not working for you.

I'm happy to have a short chat if you like, or you can email me.

DISABILITY RELATED EDUCATION - REGISTERED NURSE HEALTH SUPPORTS

This is what you need to ask for and it includes coaching.

Why is coaching important?

Because it will move you FORWARD, not just give you 'another thing to do' that will add to your burden!

My help REDUCES carer burden, and helps you cope with extremely stressful situations or behaviours.

I have helped families who have kids with challenging diagnoses, such as PDA Autism, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, Severe generalized anxiety, ADHD, Intermittent Explosive Disorder and others.

I have worked ALONGSIDE behaviour therapists and psychologists. The therapist works with the kids, and I work with the parents.

Parents find it comforting to know from my lived & professional experience, that they CAN get to a better place of coping.

I have been able to create REAL change for the families I work with.

If you are self managed, please jump onto my website & send me an email and let's get you to a better place of coping... for you and your whole family!

If you are plan managed, ask them whether you can claim the above support.

For those who don't have NDIS, ask for carer gateway/disability gateway or charities to help you cover the cost.

CAMHS

When we were referred to CAMHS for our children's mental health needs, we were told CAMHS 'didn't take kids that were autistic'

So we fell down a hole.

In the meantime, I got myself AND my family out of burnout and coping again.

( I really do hope they are going to help autism families in the future)

In the meantime, please be aware I provide the support that parents need :

👉To recover from burnout
👉Address medical causes of dysregulation
👉Help parents cope with meltdowns & PDA
👉and so much more!

Does your child HISS and GROWL?

This is your child trying to communicate with you that they don't like something.

Write down when they do it and what they were asked to do and you will start to notice a pattern of their dislikes.

They just aren't able to formulate the words needed to tell you 'in that moment'

Try not to force the issue, just accept that as communication and move on.

With our kids we were told to teach them " use your words " but that never worked with our PDAers.

That in itself would be seen by PDA kids as more of a demand and they would either shutdown or meltdown further and for longer.

So, tell me, how do your kids communicate?

NDIS CHANGES: DO YOU HAVE A PLAN?

A plan to get emotional support?

A plan to get more balance?

A plan to cope with the meltdowns?

A plan to get help with parental burnout?

A plan to get access to more financial help?

A plan to get help with YOUR NEEDS?

This is the time you need to ACT.

RIGHT NOW!

Before the s #*t hits the fan.

I figured it out the hard way so you don't have to!

When NOTHING was working, and both myself and my kids were burnt out, I HAD to find a way.

I had to.

And I did.

I found the 'missing link' of emotional regulation.

I stopped the massive swings in emotions when dealing with a child who has hours long meltdowns.
Both for the parent AND the child.

My stress management and self care mini course keeps you SUPER CALM, even through (near constant) massive meltdowns.

How do I know it works?

Because it's based on a research based emotional regulation tool, and has been further adapted to help you decrease the frequency, severity and and length of your kid's meltdowns.

It has worked in real life practice to "calm the farm" and keep you fully in control of role modelling self regulation to your child.

Behaviour doesn't need to get WORSE before it gets better.

In fact, most kids were completely confused that their parent wasn't getting short tempered with them!!

This is the mini course you need to get you coping ASAP.

It is an excellent adjunct to "The Explosive Child " by Dr Ross Greene and has been applied successfully by parents who have kids with PDA, ODD, IED, severe anxiety and more.

The course is based around learning and implementing a unique approach that quickly helps your child to regulate.

You will see results within about 2 weeks.

The course is bite sized (10 min video once a week) for 6 weeks and uses a coaching approach to move you forward.

It is IDEAL for the burntout parent who feels like they're constantly "being dragged through a hedge backwards at 60 km /hr!"

If you're wondering what to spend your funds on that will REALLY HELP YOU AND YOUR FAMILY, then you can purchase my mini course on my website.

And don't worry, you don't have to complete the course to benefit.
The BENEFIT COMES FROM THE VERY FIRST WEEK. The rest is coaching you to reinforce it.

If you need extra accountability, then you can book in a 1:1 session too on my website.

All I ask, before you jump in, is that you are OPEN to changing what's not working for you, (and that may be your style of parenting).
