⛰️ Adventure at Mount Cannibal! 🌿
One of our participants recently enjoyed an incredible walk up Mount Cannibal. It was a fantastic day filled with fresh air, beautiful scenery and plenty of determination!
Reaching the top was a wonderful achievement and a great opportunity to build confidence, stay active and enjoy time in the community. We are so proud of their efforts! 💪😊

Meet the Team Monday: Say Hello to Jess! 💜

What is your name?
Jessica Jensen

What aspired you to get into support worker role?
Wanting to make a genuine difference in the lives of others. Making a positive difference and helping develop and create positive and memorable moments in the lives of others.

What can participants and families expect from you?
I genuinely care about what I do and want to make people laugh and smile as much as I can. Friendly and kind approach focused around making the participants lives a little bit better.

What do you love about support work?
I get to build connections and enjoy experiences with people from all walks of life
I get to learn and grow and share amazing moments that fulfill me and the lives of others.

Fun fact?
I'm a bit of a gym ju**ie, with two very active and sporty kids, I like to train just as hard as them to keep them on there toes.

Meet the Team Monday: Time to Meet Tracy! 💜

What aspired you to get into a support role?
Supporting people to achieve their goals, build confidence, and develop new skills is something I genuinely enjoy. Whether it’s in aged care, childcare, or disability support, I’ve always been passionate about helping others and making a positive difference in people’s lives.
What can participants and family expect from you?
I always aim to create a positive, and enjoyable environment while encouraging independence.
I am reliable, caring, patient, and genuinely invested in providing person-centred support.
What do you love about support work?
Every day is different! I love seeing participants grow in confidence, work towards achieving their goals, and knowing I’ve helped make a positive difference in their day.
Fun fact about yourself?
I enjoy cooking and trying new recipes, and love exploring new places whenever I get the chance.
Three words that describe you?
Compassionate, patient, respectful.

Tuesday’s Friendly Face 😎

1. What is your name?
Paris

2. What inspired you to get into a support role?
I enjoy helping others in times that may seem challenging. Coming from a student nurse perspective, I know the importance of providing person-centred care and how every person has unique needs, preferences and goals. Being able to make a positive difference in someone’s day, no matter how small, is what motivates me to work in a support role.

3. What can participants and their families expect from you?
To be reliable, respectful and compassionate. They can also expect me to communicate openly, to listen without judgement but also to create a safe, positive environment where they feel valued and respected.

4. What do you love most about support work?
How rewarding it is. Even the small wins make a huge difference. I enjoy building therapeutic relationships not only with the participants but also their families.

5. Fun fact about yourself!
I was born on the Gold Coast and only moved to Victoria 7 years ago. Still getting use to the cold winters here!

6. Three words that describe you:
Bubbly. Compassionate. Hardworking.
