Yin Yoga in the Saltroom πŸ§˜β€β™€οΈβœ¨
Have you tried Yin Yoga before?
Yin is the quiet side of yoga β€” a slower, more mindful practice where we settle into mostly floor-based postures and stay for several minutes.
Rather than pushing or striving, Yin invites you to soften, breathe and let the body gradually release.
✨ Yin can help you:
β€’ Release physical tension and stiffness
β€’ Slow the breath and quiet the mind
β€’ Encourage a calmer, more grounded state
β€’ Become more aware of where you hold tension
β€’ Create space for deep rest and stillness
And when we practise Yin in the Saltroom, the environment becomes part of the experience.
The warm, dimly lit, peaceful space encourages you to slow down and switch off. The combination of gentle movement, stillness, breath and meditation creates a beautiful opportunity to step away from the busyness of the week and simply be.
Breathing in the saltroom can feel refreshing and soothing.
Come for the stretch. Stay for the exhale. 🀍
A beautiful practice for anyone who feels like they need to slow down, soften and reconnect with themselves.

Asthma still getting in the way of everyday life?

If you or your child are living with asthma, you know how exhausting it can be. The coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, restless nights and constant worry about the next flare-up can take a real toll.

While it's important to continue following your Asthma Action Plan and medical treatment, some people choose to add Salt Therapy (Halotherapy) as a complementary way to support their respiratory health.

During a Salt Therapy session, you simply relax while microscopic dry salt particles are dispersed into the room and inhaled naturally. Research into Halotherapy has shown encouraging results for some people with asthma, including improvements in breathing symptoms and quality of life, although more large-scale studies are still needed.

Some people use Salt Therapy to help:
πŸ’™ Support clearer airways
πŸ’™ Loosen mucus and congestion
πŸ’™ Reduce irritation within the respiratory tract
πŸ’™ Ease coughing and chest discomfort
πŸ’™ Encourage easier breathing and better sleep

Like many wellness therapies, consistency is often the key. While everyone is different, regular sessions over several weeks may provide the greatest opportunity to experience the potential benefits.

At Buoyant Sea, we've welcomed many families looking for additional ways to support their respiratory wellbeing. Every person's experience is unique, but many tell us they appreciate not only the breathing support they feel, but also the opportunity to slow down and simply relax.

If you've been wondering whether Salt Therapy could be a helpful addition to your wellness routine, we'd love to answer your questions and help you decide if it's right for you.

πŸ’™ Please note: Salt Therapy is a complementary wellness service. It is not a cure for asthma and should never replace prescribed medication, your Asthma Action Plan or advice from your healthcare professional.
