πŸ₯ΎπŸ‡ͺπŸ‡Έ Walking for Mental Health β€” One Step at a Time! πŸ’™

We’re incredibly proud of Cecilia, who is taking on an amazing 35-day, 880 km journey walking the Camino de Santiago in Spain, using every step to raise awareness and start conversations around mental health.

What an incredible way to show that sometimes it’s about simply putting one foot in front of the other β€” and reminding others that they don’t have to walk their journey alone. πŸŒΏπŸ’™

Go Cecilia! We’ll be cheering you on every step of the way! πŸ‘πŸ₯Ύ

πŸƒβ€β™‚οΈ One more to go! Will Lewis has now completed two marathons as part of his incredible fundraising journey for Let’s Talk! πŸ’™ We’re so proud of Will and the commitment he’s showing to supporting mental health in our communities β€” bring on marathon number three! πŸ™Œ 50 km big one at Hallsgap on 05/11/2026

Will is a 40-year-old sheep farmer from Bulart near hamilton Victoria who loves spending time fishing and exploring the mountains with his wife and children. Five years ago, after giving up smoking and drinking, he discovered a passion for running. What started as a way to improve his physical health quickly became an important part of looking after his mental wellbeing. Running gave Will the space to clear his mind, think more clearly, and build resilience. Now, he's turning that passion into purpose by challenging himself to raise funds for Let's Talk and help others access the support and conversations that can make a real difference.

🌾 Bringing Farmers Together for Important Conversations πŸ’™

Our Regional Manager, Kelly, recently travelled down to Merino to be part of a fantastic community event focused on mental health and wellbeing.

The evening brought together around 30 farmers from the Merino community for a screening of Just a Farmer β€” a powerful film that opened the door to some really important conversations about rural life, mental health and looking out for one another.

Following the screening, Kelly was part of a panel discussion where community members had the opportunity to ask questions and have an open conversation about mental health and wellbeing. We were also incredibly fortunate to have Leila McDougall, the producer and director of Just a Farmer, join the panel and share her insights.

It was wonderful to see the Merino farming community come together, connect and create a safe space for conversation. 🚜

A big thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the night such a meaningful event. These conversations matter, and together we can keep making it easier to talk. πŸ™πŸ’™

🌾 Connecting with our farming communities across Southwest Victoria 🚜

A big thank you to Brandt for organising two great opportunities for the LetsTalk team to connect with the their community across Southwest Victoria.

First, Brandt organised a presentation for the Brandt John Deere managers of the south west in Warrnambool, followed by a presentation the following week in Hamilton for Brandt John Deere customers/farmers from the surrounding area.

It was fantastic to have the opportunity to get in front of people who are such an important part of our rural communities and to have open, honest conversations around mental health, looking out for each other and the importance of having these conversations in our farming communities.

A huge thanks to Brandt for making these opportunities happen and for recognising the value of bringing mental health awareness directly to our rural and farming communities. πŸ™πŸ’™

These conversations matter, and together we can keep making it easier to talk. 🌱

🌸 What a wonderful Ladies Day at Old Collegians Football Netball Club! πŸ’™πŸˆ

Let’s Talk was incredibly proud to be part of such a fantastic day with a wonderful group of ladies. It was even more special to have our lived experience speaker, Wendy McKenzie, share her story and speak so openly and honestly about her experiences. Thankyou πŸ™πŸ’¬

There were plenty of laughs, great conversations and, most importantly, a safe space for some really open and meaningful discussions around mental health.

A huge thank you to the Old Collegians Football Netball Club for inviting Let’s Talk along and for creating such a welcoming environment. It was a pleasure to spend the afternoon with you all! 🌷

Let’s keep the conversation going β€” because talking really can make a difference. πŸ’™

It was so good to be back in the Hamilton community for Sheepvention 2026! πŸ’™

We loved getting out there, connecting with so many familiar faces and meeting plenty of new ones along the way. 🫢

It was fantastic to see so many people stop by our site, say hello, have a chat and show their support.

The support from the Hamilton community was and has been absolutely phenomenal, and we’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to visit us. It means so much to see the community getting behind what we do.πŸ’™

We’re excited to continue building our presence in Hamilton and the surrounding communities and look forward to seeing you all again soon!

Thank you, Hamilton! πŸ’™

A huge thank you to Warrnambool City Council for supporting Let’s Talk through the Festivals and Events Fund Grant, which will go towards an exciting event for warrambool in mental health month.πŸ’™

We were incredibly grateful to have the opportunity to meet with Council and spend an evening saying a very genuine thank you for their support of the work we do in our community.

Funding like this makes such a difference, helping Let’s Talk continue to create opportunities for connection, conversation and greater awareness around mental health across our region.

We’re proud to work alongside organisations and community partners who believe in the importance of breaking down stigma and making sure people know they’re not alone. πŸ’™

Thank you, Warrnambool City Council, for investing in our community and supporting Let’s Talk. We truly appreciate it! πŸ™πŸ’™

πŸ‰πŸ’™ A great night at South Warrnambool Football Netball Club! πŸ’™πŸ

It was fantastic for the Let’s Talk team to head along to South Warrnambool Football Netball Club and deliver a presentation around mental health, connection and the importance of having open conversations.

Sporting clubs play such an important role in our communities. They bring people together, create a sense of belonging and provide a great opportunity to look out for one another. 🀝

A huge thank you to everyone at South Warrnambool FNC for welcoming us and being so open to the conversation. It’s through clubs like this, willing to make mental health part of everyday conversations, that we can continue to break down stigma and build stronger, more connected communities. πŸ’™

Thanks South Warrnambool β€” we loved being part of your club! πŸ‘
