πŸ’™ A great night in Dunkeld supporting men's mental health last week πŸ’™

Let's Talk was proud to support the recent Men's Mental Health Night, bringing local men together for an evening of connection, conversation and community. 🀝

Events like these play an important role in breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health and reminding people that it's okay to reach out for support. πŸ’¬

Thank you to everyone who attended, shared their experiences and contributed to such an important conversation. Together, we're building stronger, more connected communities. πŸ’™πŸŒ±

πŸ’™ Make Your EOFY Donation Count with Let's Talk πŸ’™

As we approach the end of the financial year, we'd like to invite our community to help us continue breaking the stigma around mental health and creating conversations that save lives.

Every donation to Let's Talk helps us deliver community events, education, awareness campaigns, and opportunities for people to connect, share their experiences, and know they're not alone.

Together, we're building stronger, more connected communities where it's okay to talk about mental health.

If you've been looking for a way to make a difference this EOFY, we would be incredibly grateful for your support.πŸ™

🌟 Lived Experience Training – Building Stronger Communities Together 🌟

At Lets Talk, we know that some of the most powerful conversations around mental health come from those who have lived through challenges and are willing to share their stories to help others.

By investing in lived experience voices, we are strengthening our communities, reducing stigma, and creating more opportunities for meaningful conversations around mental health and wellbeing.

Places for this initial training are limited to just 6 participants, ensuring a supportive and interactive learning environment. However, this is only the beginning. We are committed to providing ongoing lived experience training opportunities in the future, allowing more people across our communities to get involved and become advocates for change.

If you've ever considered using your story to make a difference, this could be the opportunity you've been looking for.

Together, we can continue breaking the stigma and creating communities where it's okay to talk. πŸ’™

πŸ’™ Community. Connection. Conversation. πŸ’™

Last week, the Let's Talk team had the privilege of spending an evening with the Dennington Football and Netball Club, facilitating a conversation around mental health and wellbeing.

Sporting clubs are so much more than a place to play football or netball. They are places where friendships are built, support networks are formed, and communities come together. That's why creating safe spaces to have conversations about mental health is so important.🏈🏐

We would like to sincerely thank the committee, coaches, players, volunteers, supporters, and everyone who attended and contributed to the discussion. Your willingness to engage, listen, share, and continue breaking down the stigma surrounding mental health is what helps create stronger and more connected communities.πŸ™

Every conversation matters. Every story matters. And together, we can continue creating environments where people feel comfortable reaching out, checking in on one another, and knowing they don't have to face life's challenges alone.

Thank you to Dennington Football Netball Club for welcoming us and for your commitment to keeping the conversation going both on and off the field.🫢

πŸ’™ One conversation can make a difference.πŸ’™

A huge congratulations to our Kieser community for an incredible Move Around Australia challenge!

Together, we showed what consistency, strength and teamwork can achieve – moving more, feeling stronger, and supporting each other every step of the way πŸ’ͺ

Together, we:

- Covered an incredible 396,557 kilometres
- Completed 27.3 laps around Australia

ο»Ώο»ΏAlong the way, we were also proud to support R U OK? and Let's Talk Foundation – helping raise awareness and encourage important conversations around mental health.

An amazing effort from everyone involved – whether you were aiming for personal bests, staying consistent, or cheering others on.

We couldn’t be prouder of this community and what we can achieve together.

The co-founders of Let’s Talk were honoured to attend the Su***de Prevention Australia Life Awards dinner in Sydney.

While we unfortunately missed out on the national award, we are still incredibly proud and grateful to have received the Victorian Su***de Prevention Life Award for Communities in Action last month. πŸ†

To be recognised alongside so many passionate individuals and organisations working to create change in mental health and su***de prevention was truly humbling.

Thank you to everyone who continues to support Let’s Talk and our mission to break the stigma and create stronger community conversations around mental health. πŸ’™

πŸ’™ A Huge Thank You to

We have been absolutely overwhelmed by the generosity, support, and community spirit shown throughout Move for Mental Health Month, in May where over $150,000 has been raised already πŸ’™πŸ’ͺ

A special thank you goes to KIESER for choosing Let's Talk Foundation as one of the organisations they are supporting through their Move for Mental Health initiative. By raising both awareness and funds for mental health, they are helping to create important conversations, break down stigma, and make a real difference in the lives of people across our communities.

To everyone who is getting involved, donated, shared the message, or simply took part in supporting mental health awareness β€” thank you. Your support means more than words can express.

Together, we are proving that when communities come together, we can create lasting change and ensure that nobody has to face their struggles alone.

From all of us at Let's Talk Foundation, thank you, Kieser for your support, partnership, and commitment to making mental health a priority. πŸ’™
