Hey guys, happy Friday night! 😊

I’m currently sitting on the couch watching Netflix and thought I’d get tonights dinner sorted while I’m here. 😂

This is one of my favourite lazy dinners. Just throw some chicken, coconut milk, peanut butter, tamari, garlic, ginger and curry powder into the slow cooker and you’re done.

Takes about 5 minutes, I pretty much just threw it all in the pressure cooker and it only takes about 45 -55 minutes to get a nice warm healthy and hearty meal.

Healthy, high in protein, gluten-free and dairy-free too.

I’ll put the recipe in the comments for you all if you want try it. 😊

✨ A Message From One of Our Amazing Clients ✨

💙 Hi, Maria here! 💙

I started coming to DC Fitness after I broke my pelvis in 2023 and found out I was pre-osteo, as well as being extremely unfit! 😆

I’m still working at the moment, and Dani’s class times are great, so I really have no excuse to miss a session! Another lol!

I wanted to improve my overall health and fitness so I can enjoy our retirement when it comes around.

I’ve never really enjoyed going to gyms I’ve tried in the past, but DC Fitness is different. The classes are fun, and most importantly, the people are great.

I always feel comfortable attending and have felt supported by Dani and all of the wonderful people I’ve met along the way.

I’m so glad I took the first step and got started. 💙

🥣 Breakfast this morning…

Nothing exciting 😂 but it does the job.

Protein oats, a scoop of protein powder, yoghurt, raspberries and a few almonds.

One thing I get asked a lot is what I eat for breakfast, and honestly it’s usually something simple like this.

No fancy recipes.
No detoxes.
No cutting out food groups.

Just aiming for protein, a bit of fibre and something that’s going to keep me full until lunch.

Healthy eating doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to work for you.

Now excuse me while I enjoy this and my morning cup of tea ☕💙

But first here is the recipe for you all

30 grams high protein oats
1 cup almond milk
Raspberries a small handful
Almonds x6
2 tablespoons yoghurt
Protein powered chocolate 1 scoop

I was chatting with one of our ladies last week and she said something that really stuck with me.

She’d spent the weekend building fences and doing farm work and said:

“2 years ago there is no way I would have been able to build a fence and I’ve noticed It all feels so much easier now.”

That’s the thing about getting stronger. It’s not always about losing weight or getting fit enough for a gym.

Sometimes it’s about making everyday life easier.

Gardening.
Farm work.
Carrying groceries.
Keeping up with the grandkids.
Keeping up with the kids.

What’s something you’d love to find easier?

💙 MONDAY MOTIVATION 💙

How many times have you said...

👉 "I'll start next week."
👉 "I need to get fitter before I join."
👉 "I'm too old."
👉 "I have sore knees, a sore back, or old injuries."

The truth is... most of our members felt exactly the same when they started.

They didn't start because they were fit.
They started because they wanted to feel better.

More energy.
More strength.
Less aches and pains.
More confidence.

And little by little, those small efforts add up to big changes.

This week, don't focus on being perfect.

💙 CLIENT SPOTLIGHT – KAREN 💙

Karen joined DC Fitness just 4 months ago after spending almost 10 years away from the gym.

Like so many people, life got busy. Work took over, exercise slipped down the priority list, and over time those little aches and pains started creeping in. Strength and flexibility weren't quite what they used to be, and everyday life became a little harder.

What I love about Karen is that instead of accepting that as her new normal, she decided to do something about it.

From the moment she walked through our doors, Karen became a wonderful part of our community.

She's always friendly, positive and willing to give things a go, and it's been amazing watching her confidence grow week after week.

In just a short time she's already noticed improvements in her strength, flexibility, fitness and overall wellbeing, and most importantly, she's experiencing less pain and moving more comfortably.

Stories like Karen's are exactly why we do what we do.

You don't have to be fit to start.
�You don't have to be perfect.
�You don't have to train for hours.

Sometimes all it takes is taking that first step and finding a supportive community that genuinely cares.

I want to tell you all a story.. I was talking to a client just yesterday about them building something at home and the lady said to me, “Farm work and work around the house feels so much easier now” it’s amazing how you notice the difference from getting stronger and there’s no way 2 years ago before I started I would have been able to build what we did on the weekend 💙

And honestly… this is why I love what I do.💜
