Over time, my work changed.
I became less interested in producing moments of proof and more interested in understanding what allows connection to be safely received.
For me, mediumship is not separate from the person seeking it.
The nervous system matters.
Grief matters.
Readiness matters.
Because connection should not overwhelm us.
It should arrive within a relationship that can hold it.

A different kind of reading…

This is not traditional mediumship.

For me, the reading begins long before connection.

With readiness.
With relationship
With trust.

Because what matters most is not simply whether contact happens — but whether it can be received.

🎶 Struttin’ on Sunshine 🎶
Exhaling in Bargara for the next six months…
A journey that continues to meet us with graciousness and generosity.
We’ve followed one crumb at a time:
Finish renovating the house.
Leave by this date.
Trust the next step.
Then plans opened for a stay on the Gold Coast. We didn’t know how, when, or where. We only knew an apartment would become available for 5–7 months.
And now we’ve landed here, knowing we are meant to be in Bargara for the next six months.
There are no grand plans. No five-year strategy. No map.
Just this.
A family.
A season.
A coastline.
A life unfolding one step at a time.
For someone who has spent much of her life trying to see around corners, there is something deeply healing about not knowing.
About allowing life to reveal itself rather than forcing it into shape.
The older I get, the more I realise that certainty is overrated.
Presence is where life actually happens.
Today I am simply grateful.
For the ocean.
For the children.
For the work that waits patiently.
For the people who walk beside us.
And for this beautiful reminder that we are held by something far greater than our plans.

Only when there is enough safety and relational coherence does the field begin to respond.
Not for proof.
Not for performance.
But for meaningful connection that can be deeply received and integrated.
This is the heart of relational mediumship.

Readiness shapes the reading.
In traditional mediumship, the focus is often placed on connection and evidence.

But in my work, the question begins earlier:

Is the person ready to receive what they are seeking?

Grief can unsettle the psyche, overwhelm the nervous system, and narrow our capacity to take in contact meaningfully.

Before we reach toward the communicator, we first attend to the human ecology of the person:
their emotional state, internal stability, and relational capacity.

Because a deeply embodied reading is not only about what comes through.

It is about what can be held, integrated, and transformed.

This is the movement from evidential to relational mediumship.

Not every person seeking a reading is truly ready for one.

And that is not failure. It is not weakness. It is not “lack of spirituality.”

Sometimes the psyche is still trembling from grief.Sometimes the nervous system is searching for rescue rather than relationship.Sometimes urgency is louder than readiness.

Part of ethical relational work is recognising the difference.

In my practice, readiness is not about perfection. It is about whether the person has enough internal space, grounding, and relational safety to meaningfully receive what emerges.

This is why stabilisation matters. This is why trust matters. This is why I work relationally.

Held in its embrace…
Five years ago today, we crossed the sacred threshold of union.

In a world where marriage is often reduced to a legal status, financial arrangement, or social expectation, I have come to understand it very differently.

For me, marriage is a conscious covenant.

A quiet and enduring vow to bind our lives together in devotion, fidelity, and mutual becoming.

It is a sacred container in which two souls agree to witness one another through seasons of growth, challenge, tenderness, and transformation.

It is not simply about comfort or security.

It is about choosing, again and again, to remain present.
To hold one another in love.
To mature together.
To build a life that is greater than either could create alone.

Over these five years, our union has asked much of us.

It has invited us to deepen.
To soften.
To repair.
To trust.
To continue returning to the heart of what we promised.

Marriage, at its most meaningful, is not the absence of difficulty.

It is the willingness to stay in relationship with integrity and reverence.

To honour the sacred thread that joins two lives (now four).

Today, I give thanks for this bond.
For all that we have weathered.
For all that we continue to become.
And for the love that keeps unfolding between us.

Happy 5th Anniversary, my love.

Still held in the embrace of something far greater than ourselves. ❤️

A reading should not become a way to escape yourself.
It should emerge from a deeper relationship with yourself.
When grief is overwhelming, it can be tempting to seek immediate contact with the communicator in hopes of easing the pain.
But meaningful connection is not built on urgency.
It is built on trust.
Trust in your own inner capacity.
Trust in the relational field.
Trust that you can receive contact without becoming overwhelmed.
Readiness is not about doing the “right” preparation.
It is about having enough internal space to remain present to yourself while also opening to the communicator.
When this foundation is in place, a reading becomes more than evidence.
It becomes a deeply embodied and relational encounter.
