It can be hard to know how to support a young person with study, particularly when their motivation is low or school feels overwhelming.

Motivation often builds when young people can see the purpose in what they’re doing, feel recognised for their effort, and have a balance of structure and support around them.

Being present, patient, and supportive can go a long way. Every young person is different, so it’s important to check in with them about what they need. What works for them might also change over time.

✨WarwickCon 2026 Cosplay Event's with / ✨

⏰2:00 PM – Introduction to Cosplay (Q&A Session)
Learn cosplay basics, event rules, and ask questions.
With guest speakers from

⏰3:00 PM – Participant Gathering & Line-Up
12 & Under Age Group Cosplay Parade (Non-Competitive, Just for Fun) 💚

⏰3:30 PM – Prejudging Sessions
17 & Under and 18 & Over age groups
Maximum 10 participants per age group
2 minutes per participant (Approx. 20 minutes per group)

⏰4:00 PM – 4:15 PM – Main Competition Begins
On-stage presentations and final judging.

Entry to WarwickCon opens from 1pm - register as soon as you can on the day for your Cosplay Competition category as spots are limited!

’Twas the night before WarwickCon, and all through the town,
Not a gamer was sleeping, not a soul settling down.
The cosplay was prepped and the fits laid with care,
In hopes that the best dressed soon would be there.
Badges were ready, plans set just right,
While visions of cosplay stalls danced through the night.
With mates in the group chat, the hype running wild,
“See you tomorrow!” — every inner fan smiled.
So rest up (or don’t), set your alarms nice and early…
