The school holidays are nearly here.
Don't know what to do with the kids?
How about booking them in for an Equine Experience?

We have 90min sessions available on -
Saturday 19th September 9am & 11:30.
Friday 25th September 9am, 11:30, 2pm
Monday 28th September 11:30am, 2pm
Tuesday 29th September 9am, 11:30, 2pm.

Sessions are available individually or why not bring a friend, sibling or family member to share the experience with. $85pp.

Today was bath day for the big boys and jobs around the paddock.
All the horses were super curious as to what Kat was creating for an event we are hosting next week.
Gregory was so invested in the process.

🐴 Equine Assisted Therapy - at a glance.

Equine-assisted therapy is as an umbrella term in Australia for various horse-related interventions, which includes equine-assisted mental health.

🌿 While the equine-assisted therapy industry remains unregulated in Australia, it continues to gain attention and respect from the broader mental health services community.

🧠 A growing body of research supports equine-assisted interventions as an effective complementary tool for addressing psychological trauma, particularly for clients who have not responded to conventional room-based therapy methods.

🐴 In ground-based equine-assisted therapy sessions, qualified professionals - such as counsellors, psychotherapists, and psychologists - work alongside a horse or a herd of horses to assist clients experiencing mental health challenges.

👀 Clients are introduced to basic equine behaviour and body language to help them recognise how horses communicate.

💭 Throughout the session, clients are encouraged to notice their own thoughts, emotions, physical sensations and behaviours as they arise in the presence of a horse.

🌿 Because horses are highly sensitive to their environment and communicate largely through body language, these interactions create opportunities for clients to observe the horse's responses, while reflecting on their own internal state.

With the support of a qualified practitioner, clients can develop greater self-awareness and explore strategies to help manage the impacts of anxiety, depression, trauma and other mental health-related challenges.

📣 PACFA ENDORSEMENT | 19 HOURS CPD

We’re excited to share that EATA’s 10th Anniversary Conference has been endorsed by the Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia (PACFA) for 19 hours of Category A CPD.

Category A is PACFA’s highest tier of CPD, recognising interactive professional learning with real-time engagement.

Taking place from September 21 - 23, 2026 at Selah Valley Estate in the beautiful Tweed Valley, the conference will bring together professionals from mental health, education and the equine-assisted field for two-and-a-half days of professional learning, connection and community.

Across the three days, we’ll explore a diverse range of topics including nervous-system regulation, neuroaffirming practice, complex trauma, equine welfare, relational safety and working with diverse communities.

The program includes keynote presentations, experiential workshops, case examples, panel discussions and opportunities to connect with practitioners from across Australia and around the world.
