Meet Tim — local Canberran, dad, and the founder of AbilitySeer. 👋

Before AbilitySeer existed, Tim worked on the frontline supporting people with disability — long before the NDIS was even a thing. What he saw stuck with him: people not getting a real say in how they lived, who they lived with, or who supported them.

So he set out to build something different — a service where people with disability genuinely direct their own lives.

Investing in the next generation of industry professionals 🎓

At AbilitySeer, growing a strong disability services sector starts with mentoring the people who will shape its future.

Every semester, we partner with the ANU College of Business and Economics to host university interns as part of their academic program — sharing our real-world knowledge and experience while gaining fresh perspectives in return.

This semester, we're proud to have Amber on board, working on a marketing project as part of her university credit. In the photo, Amber and the team are collaborating on an ad creative that captures what AbilitySeer is all about — our story, our purpose, and the people we support.

For us, these partnerships are about more than fulfilling a placement requirement. They're about giving back to the pipeline of talent entering the disability and community services sector, and helping build a workforce that's skilled, passionate, and ready to make a genuine difference.

Our team recently attended opioid overdose management and prevention training organised by CAHMA.

Ongoing training is an important part of making sure our team has the knowledge, awareness and confidence to respond appropriately when supporting people with diverse and complex needs.

At AbilitySeer, we’re committed to continuous learning and strengthening our practice so we can provide safe, informed and person-centred support to the people we work with.

A valuable learning experience for the team and another opportunity to continue building our skills together.
