Our brain can produce as many as 50.000 thoughts a day, according to the National Science Foundation. Not just that, but 95% of these thoughts are repeated on a daily basis. This is why if you have limited beliefs, it can be challenging to overcome them.

Working with our breath gives the unique opportunity to change our thoughts – and thus change our mindset – in multiple ways.

There are a lot of exercises that help you relax. This is very helpful to stop your mind from racing and going into a million directions.

This gives you the opportunity to focus on thoughts that are constructive, and not pay attention to fleeting, negative thoughts.

Another way to control your thoughts is through breath holding.
Breath holding does not only increase your mental resilience as you push against the very reflex of life.

When you hold your breath, your mind becomes completely still. This is a great way to empty the mind of negative thoughts and allow positive thoughts to flow in.

Stress - The modern world may give us access to everything at your finger’s tips, but do you feel for filled, calm, centred and empowered?

Sleeping problems, fatigue, being busy, avoidance, anxiety, unfulfilled in relationships, feeling disconnected could be signs this modern world is taking its toll on you.

My kinesiology sessions support slowing day in a safe space without any judgement to stop and begin your journey of self-discovery again. Muscle testing allows us to get information from your body’s biofeedback, connecting to your conscience and sub-conscience mind.

Here’s another way you can look at stress in relation to your nervous system.

Let's learn about the stress cycle! 😎

🐅 “Anything can be a tiger” means our bodies will act to protect us even if there’s not a real tiger. Our neuroception has evolved beyond noticing lions and tigers and bears to sensing more subtle threats and dangers in our world.

How do you behave when you're stressed?

Stress is the feeling of being overwhelmed or unable to cope with mental or emotional pressure. Chronic Stress alters Behaviour, but it can show up differently in everyone.

5 common patterns.

1. Avoidance
Rather than doing the thing you meant to do or what you love to do if it causes you stress or fears you avoid it.

2. Addiction or obsession
Trying to find pleasure by escaping things, running away from pain in your life. Offend it stems from shame and another form of avoidance.

3. Busy
Creating an ego around constantly being busy to avoid what's causing you anxiety. Masking the underlying anxiety and fear.

4. Anger
Can build up inside you and release through aggressive energy when suppressed for too long.

5. Loss of interest
Feeling deflated or don't want to do anything, feeling depressive is also a sign of chronic stress

I’ve noticed I can relate to these patterns, being busy was my number one for years, with working on the root of the causes over time I can notice it showing up and attending to my needs. What is your pattern?
