🦷✨ So much fun promoting healthy smiles in our community today!
The children absolutely loved our hands-on oral health activities , learning that looking after our teeth can be fun, creative & interactive. A huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our table & to the wonderful school community for making the day so special. Prevention starts early & when learning feels like play, children build confidence, curiosity & positive lifelong habits around oral health 💙🪥We have to say, Bella the Bellmere Bear was a crowd favourite! 🐻 ✨

🦷✨ What a wonderful morning at of Christ Clive Burdeu Aged Care, Hillcrest!

A huge thank you to Pauline and John for welcoming the Oral Health Home team into your beautiful community. We loved spending time with residents delivering our Seniors Oral Health Program. 💙 Logan City Council provided funding to run these workshops!

Our sessions are designed to be fun, social, engaging, and evidence-based — helping older adults maintain healthy mouths, confidence, comfort, and quality of life.

Today’s workshop included:
🪥 Toothbrushing and denture care education
😁 Oral and facial exercises
🗣️ Speech and chewing activities
🎲 Interactive games and group discussions
💧 Dry mouth and oral health advice
❤️ Conversations about the link between oral health and overall wellbeing

The smiles, laughter, participation, and stories shared today reminded us why preventative oral health care matters so much in aged care.

We are proud to run these sessions directly within aged care facilities alongside lifestyle coordinators and staff to create meaningful, practical, and enjoyable oral health experiences for residents.

Thank you again to everyone at Churches of Christ Clive Burdeu Aged Care for having us. We cannot wait to come back! 🌟

Working with children with ASD teaches us that oral health is never just about teeth. 💙

For many children, toothbrushing, water pressure, sounds & new sensations can feel overwhelming. Through play-based, sensory-informed therapy, we focus on building trust, regulation & confidence, one small step at a time.

Sometimes the biggest achievement is simply feeling safe at the sink. 🪥✨

Every small success builds toward lifelong oral health skills, independence & positive experiences.
