We offer various Dietary Consultation and Personal Training packages for those who know they need to make the commitment to achieve the results they desire. Clinics are located at Wyong, Wyoming and Woy Woy and we provide home visits for dietetic consultation for those who have difficulty coming to clinic. GROW IT KNOW IT: Madagascar Beans
Madagascar beans are a perennial, monster of a climbing bean. They are super easy to grow, but perhaps not that easy to harness if you put them in a smaller than required spot. They need a big trellis!

They are very simmilar to white or canellini or lima beans, but they have a purplish dappled colour on the bean. Harvest when you can see the size is at least 1.5cm per bean and you can hold the pod up to the light to see the inner bean's shadow.

You can eat them raw, when white, and they have a great bity crunch to them, bit like eating a soft nut. Or, you can wait for them to dry out and harvest so you can soak and cook at a later time, such as traditionally in the winter when food is not as abundant. Add them to soups, casseroles, pasta dishes, salads, curries and more.

Madagascar beans are a great source of protein, slow release carbohydrate and fibre, bit of iron, magnesium and folate.

CALLING ALL ECO-WARRIORS!
I am excited (and a bit nervous) about starting up my Eat Like An Eco-Warrior Workshops again at Narara Ecovillage's Open day!
This is something I am super passionate about and love doing. I want everyone to be clever about their food choices for good health and the health of our Mother Earth.

COVID times and and the cost of living crisis has impacted everyone. But, I want to help us all live in a community where safe and affordable food is accessible.
I want to help change our food system to be one that is resilient and can cope with the growing unpredictable and extreme weather conditions.

Food is so important to our health and our health as a nation is so poor! Our hospital systems are struggling, lifestyle and diet related chronic health conditions are high, yet we live in such an intelligent and wealthy country.

We will workshop seed saving, making packets of seeds for your seed bank or as gifts, and paper pots.
Some extra plant and seed sales will be available on the day.
