This week is NAIDOC Week, a time to celebrate and recognise the history, culture and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. NAIDOC is more than a week. It reinforces our shared responsibility to deliver care that is respectful, culturally safe and responsive to the needs of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Through our ATSI Patient Care Guidelines, we continue to strengthen our approach, ensuring every patient interaction reflects dignity, understanding and connection.

Today, Cura Day Hospitals Group recognises World Hand Hygiene Day, reaffirming our shared commitment to patient safety through simple and effective hand hygiene practices.

This commitment is reinforced through our ongoing Rub In, Rub Out (RIRO) initiative, reminding our teams that clean hands help save lives by preventing the spread of infection through correct hand hygiene.

Consistently following best practice hand hygiene is one of the most effective frontline measures to protect our patients, our colleagues and ourselves from infection.

🔹 Medications that cause dizziness
🔹 Inactivity during recovery

It’s important to stay safe both in hospital and at home. Simple fall prevention tips, like staying active and creating a safe environment, can help reduce falls and prevent injuries.
