FREE Disability Inclusion in Sport Webinar – 22 & 23 June
We're hosting a free webinar focused on helping more people get involved, stay involved and feel like they belong in community sport within Whyalla. Throughout the 45 minute session we'll explore practical strategies, resources and ideas that can be applied straight away within existing sporting clubs and community organisations.

Over the past few months, my placement partner Tom Margitich and I, both final-year Occupational Therapy students, have been working with the Whyalla community through Adelaide University to explore ways to make local sport more inclusive for people with disability.

One thing we've learnt is that inclusion doesn't have to be complicated.

Often, small practical changes can make a big difference.

During the training we'll explore:

βœ… Practical strategies you can take straight back to your club

βœ… Ways to support a wider range of needs and abilities

βœ… Common barriers to participation and simple ways to address them

βœ… Free resources and recommendations developed through the project

Whether you're involved in a sporting club, volunteer, coach, parent, support service or simply interested in creating more opportunities for people to participate, we'd love to have you there.

The session is designed to build confidence, spark discussion and show how small changes can help more people get involved, stay involved and feel like they belong in community sport.

We will be running two 45 minute sessions:
πŸ“… Monday 22 June or Tuesday 23 June
⏰ 6:00pm – 6:45pm
πŸ’» Online via Microsoft Teams

See the flyer below for details and registration.
We'd love to see you there!
