Raise your hand if you’ve Googled “why am I always so tired?” more times than you can count since becoming a mum 🙋‍♀️

Feeling constantly run down, getting sick all the time or taking ages to recover isn’t something you just have to accept as “normal mum life.”

A lot of the time it’s your body asking for a different kind of support.

And that support isn’t always another supplement or trying to squeeze in more rest.

Sometimes it’s gentle, consistent movement that supports your body instead of pushing it harder when it’s already depleted.

I work with mums whose bodies are still very much in recovery mode whether they’re four months postpartum or four years.

Because postpartum recovery doesn’t magically end after six weeks.

It’s a whole season of life and you deserve support from someone who actually understands that ❤️

Winter is when so many mums stop exercising.

It’s too cold.
It’s too dark.
The kids are tired.
The bugs are doing the rounds through the household.
The blankets are calling your name.
The lounge feels far more appealing than a workout.

And honestly? Those feelings are completely understandable.

But winter is often when movement matters the most.

Keeping active helps keep your metabolism firing, supports your body’s natural temperature regulation, boosts energy levels, and plays a powerful role in supporting your mental health. It gives you a reason to step outside, soak up some sunshine when it appears, breathe fresh air, and create moments of clarity amongst the cooler, busier days.

Exercise doesn’t have to be all-or-nothing. It might be a walk around the block, a quick strength session, stretching while the kids play, or simply showing up for yourself for 20 minutes.

The mums who continue to move through winter aren’t necessarily the most motivated. They’re the ones who understand that consistency beats perfection.

Your future self will thank you for every walk, every workout, every moment you chose movement when the couch and a good TV show were trying to convince you otherwise.

This winter, don’t focus on doing more.

Focus on keeping going. ❤️

We are very excited to announce our very first MumSafe Peer Mentor Team 🎉🎉

At MumSafe we are on a mission to make sure all mums have access to safe and effective exercise at every stage of motherhood and to do this we put a circle of support around the trainers and instructors that share this mission.

This means making sure that there is a solid system in place for everyone to get the support they need, when they need it and empowering them to look after the mums of their community.

Our MumSafe Peer Mentors are fellow MumSafe Trainers that have achieved a minimum of Level 2 MumSafe status and live and breath our values both in the technical & business side of what they do.

These humans put their hands up, applied and will now be part of the guidance and support every MumSafe Trainer receives.

Being "Strong as a Mother" means having the confidence to pick up your child without hesitation, it means breathing through the chaos and feeling integrated in your own skin. Your body is the foundation for everything your family does and it deserves to be treated with the respect it has earned.

My mission as an exercise professional is to provide a safe space in that journey. Whether you are 6 weeks or 6 years postnatal or 20 years plus, you deserve a roadmap that respects your context. You deserve to be seen for the athlete you already are in your daily life.
