This National Volunteer Week, we want to shout out the people who make Frame Running Wollongong what it is, our incredible volunteers…

Every session, you show up. You push frames, you cheer kids on, you learn names, you remember the little things. You give your time freely and generously, and the difference you make in the lives of our participants and their families is impossible to put into words.

You are the heart of what we do. And we are so, so grateful for you. 🥰

Huge congratulations to Sophie Wallis for earning a Band 6 in Music 1 and Mathematics Standard 2, placing her proudly on the HSC Distinguished Achievers List! Sophie’s incredible talents shone bright through our CAPA enrichment program, where she brought Uncle Fester to life with perfect comedic timing in The Addams Family.

But Sophie’s impact goes far beyond academics and performance. She truly embodies Woonona High’s spirit, championing inclusivity and social justice. Awarded the Community Spirit Award by Alison Byrnes MP for her volunteer work with Frame Running Wollongong, Sophie inspires us all.

With acceptance to the University of Wollongong for Disability Support Services and further TAFE studies ahead, Sophie is set to make a meaningful difference.

At Woonona, we nurture not only success and excellence but heart and integrity too. Ready to RISE with us?

Our fourth Frame Running Wollongong Christmas Party…

So good to see our family growing each year and to have everyone together celebrating. The smiles, the laughs, the festive chaos - loved every minute of it!
Big thanks to all our volunteers, carers, parents, and runners for making it such a fun afternoon. What a great way to wrap up the year!
