Expressions of interest for our new Sibs July activities close this Friday 19 June 2026.

We’re excited to introduce something special. Interchange Illawarra Sibs is a brand-new initiative for children aged 8 to 12 who have a sibling with disability.

These fun,supportive events give kids the chance to:

• Connect with others who understand
• Build friendships in a safe, welcoming space
• Enjoy time that’s all about them
Best of all? It’s completely FREE.

We have two events in July – bowling and indoor rock climbing, so please get your expression of interest to us by 19/6/26.

The flyers for July and August are out now. There’s some awesome activities on offer including visiting Sydney Zoo, going to the driving range, playing pool at a pub, Christmas in July lunch, seeing live music, crazy hair day, indoor barefoot bowls, visiting the Hars Museum, creating wool birds with Jodie from Eclectic Bower, the cooking program and much more!

The countdown is on. It is only two days until the Vinnies CEO Sleepout on 18 June! Our CEO, Jake, is taking on the challenge, braving the wintery night to raise money for this worthy cause. One night in the cold may seem minor, but it’s a powerful way to shine a spotlight on the growing homelessness crisis happening right here in our community and your support can make an immediate difference.

The Vinnies CEO Sleepout is on 18 June, only days away! We’re asking our CEO, Jake, some tough questions to better understand this important cause.

What is your fundraising goal? What would you say to your friends and colleagues to encourage them to donate to your fundraising efforts?

I don’t have a specific target in mind, but I do want to raise as much I can to combat homelessness in the Illawarra. Every donation, no matter how small, is meaningful and truly appreciated.

Open Day: You are invited to join us at the Interchange Illawarra Open Day on Friday 3 July 2026, 10:30am–1:30pm, for a day packed with fun, creativity and connection.

• Craft session with Jodie from The Eclectic Bower
• Seed planting
• Cupcake decorating
• Outdoor games on the deck
• BBQ lunch

Come along, explore our purpose-built centre, and chat with our friendly Customer Engagement Officer and Social Support team. It’s the perfect chance to see what we’re all about!

Ahead of the Vinnies CEO Sleepout on 18 June, we’re asking our CEO, Jake, some tough questions to better understand this important cause.

Where will the sleepout take place? What provisions/equipment will you take with you?

This year the sleepout will take place on the concrete under the veranda attached to the main teaching building at the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music in Wollongong.

A sleeping bag and pillow are the only things that participants can bring with them. Camping gear and luxury bedding are not permitted. Cardboard is provided for the CEO’s to sleep on.

One night won’t fix the problem, but it can spark real change. Every donation, no matter how small, is meaningful. Together we can help combat homelessness in our community.
