A huge congratulations to Hayley on successfully completing and passing her 2-day Traffic Controller Course! 🚦👏

Over the two days, Hayley worked hard, showed great determination, and stepped outside her comfort zone to achieve this fantastic milestone. We are incredibly proud of the effort she put into completing the course and gaining valuable skills that will support her future employment opportunities.

A special thank you to Grace, who provided support and encouragement throughout the course, helping Hayley build confidence and achieve her goal. 💙

🌟 What's Been Happening at Serendipity? 🌟

It's been another fantastic week filled with community participation, friendship, fun and staying active!

Jake enjoyed a great outing with Taimani, spending time out in the community visiting the pet store and checking out all the animals before treating himself to some delicious churros. 🐾🍩 It's always wonderful to see participants exploring their interests, building confidence and enjoying meaningful one-on-one time.

Back at Day Program, the crew have been making the most of the beautiful weather by getting outdoors and staying active. ⚽☀️ Participants enjoyed soccer games, ball activities, group exercise sessions and plenty of movement-based fun. Not only are these activities great for physical health and wellbeing, they also encourage teamwork, social interaction, communication skills and lots of laughter along the way. Thank you Taimani for getting the guys out in the sun, having fun and exercising!!

There have been plenty of smiles, friendly competition and encouragement as everyone cheered each other on and celebrated their achievements. We love seeing participants getting involved, trying new things and enjoying all the opportunities our programs have to offer! 💙

Today at Serendipity we’re celebrating the simple things that bring people together - good food, shared laughs, sweet treats, and time spent with others 💛

Whether it’s a trip out for donuts, baking activities, coffee catch ups, or just enjoying a treat together, days like this are a fun way to encourage social connection, community participation, and creating happy memories. ✨

Lots of smiles and laughter at Day Program today! 😄💙

Brett was being a cheeky silly goose and decided to “borrow” Rhyse’s beanie, keeping everyone entertained with his playful antics! 🧢😂

Meanwhile, Tori is all smiles and in great spirits, enjoying her day and spreading plenty of happiness around the room. 😊✨

Greg is also enjoying some well-deserved downtime, relaxing with his Nintendo Switch and having fun playing his favourite games. 🎮😎

It’s moments like these that make Day Program such a fun, positive, and welcoming place to be!

Koby had a fantastic time on her 1:1 outing with Nik today! 🛍️😊

The day was made even more special when Koby had the chance to meet Tony from MAFS, enjoying a chat and snapping a photo together – something she was absolutely thrilled about! 📸✨

To top off a wonderful day, Koby enjoyed a delicious chicken Pad Thai for lunch before continuing her shopping adventure.

It's always so lovely to see Koby out in the community, building confidence, creating memories, and sharing plenty of smiles along the way! 💙

🚗🎉 Congratulations Mitchell! 🎉🚗

A huge congratulations to Mitchell on achieving his P Plates! What an incredible milestone and something to be very proud of. 🌟

Learning to drive takes dedication, patience, confidence, and determination, and Mitchell has worked hard to reach this goal. Gaining the independence that comes with driving opens up so many new opportunities and experiences, and we couldn’t be happier for him.

We’d also like to give a special shoutout to Reggie’s Driving School for their support throughout Mitchell’s journey. Their guidance, encouragement, and professional driving lessons have helped build Mitchell’s confidence and skills behind the wheel, playing an important role in helping him achieve this fantastic result. 👏

Well done Mitchell - we are all incredibly proud of you and can’t wait to see where this new chapter takes you! 🌈💛

🌈💛 Here's a little look at what we've been up to lately at Serendipity! 💛🌈

We're still enjoying some great memories from last week's State of Origin celebrations, with participants and staff getting right into the spirit of the big game. There were plenty of smiles, laughs, and a lot of blue on display before the NSW win! 💙🏉

We also took some time to celebrate World Parents Day, recognising the incredible parents, carers, and families who provide love, support, guidance, and encouragement every day. Families play such an important role in the lives of our participants, and we are grateful for the trust they place in us. 💐

There's also a lovely video of Luke enjoying a dance at Day Program this week. It was fantastic to see him so engaged, confident, and enjoying himself. Moments like these are a wonderful reminder of the importance of creating environments where participants feel comfortable expressing themselves, having fun, and simply being themselves. 🎶✨

Today, Brett and Rhyse enjoyed a community outing with Nik, heading out for a milkshake and spending quality time together. Community outings like these provide great opportunities for social connection, independence, and simply enjoying the things that make us happy. 🥤💛

From celebrations and learning opportunities to community outings, friendships, and lots of laughter, it's been another fantastic week filled with fun, connection, and meaningful experiences. 🌈✨

🎳💛 Bowling was a big hit again this week!

It was fantastic to see everyone getting involved, having a go, and most importantly, having fun together. There were plenty of smiles, laughs, encouragement, and friendly competition throughout the day. 🌈

Activities like bowling are a great way to build confidence, social connections, coordination, and community participation, all while creating wonderful memories with friends.

One of the best parts of the day was seeing everyone engaged, happy, and cheering each other on. We love watching friendships grow and seeing participants celebrate each other’s successes, whether it’s a strike, a spare, or simply having a great time. 💛✨

🖤💛❤️ This week, Serendipity proudly recognises National Reconciliation Week.

Reconciliation Week is a time for all Australians to learn about our shared histories, cultures, and achievements, while continuing to work toward a more respectful, inclusive, and united future.

At Serendipity, we acknowledge the importance of listening, learning, and walking together in the spirit of reconciliation. We recognise and pay our respects to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples as the Traditional Custodians of the land, and honour the strength of the world’s oldest continuing cultures.

This year’s theme, “All In,” reminds us that reconciliation takes all of us. It calls on individuals, workplaces, organisations, and communities to be active participants in creating change, building understanding, and strengthening relationships.
